I have heard Neal say a lot of things and I have heard people say a lot of things about him. Someone, who should know the kind of person he is quite well, was saying on another board about how shallow he is and the biggest reason that Jeff was canned was because Neal felt like he was gaining some momentum and support. He wanted to find an unknown who would just come in and sing the songs he was told to sing and not try to change/influence anything. The person also commented on how amazingly selfish and self-centered he is. He also doesn't come across as being all that bright. Seems like he is somewhere between Forrest Gump and Kelley Pickler.
I know this has probably been chewed on all over this board but, as you can see by my number of posts, I miss a lot. If some one could just provide a little clarity I would appreciate it. I'm just curious...

All I care about is the tunes. Do they have cats, dogs, what's their middle names, what are their favorite colors, what kind of houses do they live in...It doesn't make the music sound any different.
They're real people with real lives (They live a lot more comfortably than most in here I'm sure) and have real problems just like the rest of us. Actually, they probably have MORE problems than the rest of us.
I just like the music, but maybe it's just me.

Not a meet and greet. It was just he and I talking at the barrier at the front of the stage a few hours before the show started. I would call that a private talk. I didnt say we were friends or that he would even remember me because I know he talks with lots of fans but we did chat. And I am still thrilled by it to this day. Best part is he came over and started the conversation with me!

Yeah, that's pretty much a meet and greet dude. He doesn't have to be sitting behind a table in a tent with a long line of people waiting for an autograph for it to be classified as a meet and greet. You had a quick howdy-do with the guy, not a deep get to know you conversation.

I dont consider that a meet and greet because it had nothing to do with PR for the show, etc I was just hanging out and he came over and did the same. Like I said, I didnt say we were friends or that he would even remember me but we did talk. It was so cool the way it happened I didnt even ask for an autograph because it felt more like 2 guys just kicking back. We really didnt even talk music. The reason I even mentioned this is because Neal Schon is a good guy and very cool to talk to, at least thats what I took from it. He never treated me like a "fan boy" he treated me like hes known me for years. Aw, HELL-I LOVE THE GUY!!!!

Neal just feels like a founding member, as he should. He deserves all right to make these decisions. Remember, this was Neal's band before SP joined up.
I saw him as a good guy, as I said. That has nothing to do with peoples impressions of his treatment of JSS because noone really knows who, what, where, or why, they just ASSUME to. We talked about the the area, road experiences, and guitar. We talked about other stuff too but my mind went numb due to the thrill and I cant seem to recall it....

Who the hell is noone? And I don't think JSS's treatment is in question here.

You shouldn't assume that perhaps some of us here don't know what happened. I happen to know without a doubt, what happened. Unlike Susie, your "inside info agent," I do know stuff.
