Perry's costumes

Why in 1981 did he only wear to costumes? As great as those two shirts may have been, i don get why that was all hr worse, was it his decision to go for that image? Even during interview, Perry would still wear the same costume .. just seemed a bit odd....

He was ahead of his time. It took another 25 years for Neal to "get it" and do the same with the PURPLE SHIRT!!

Back in "those" days, Journey had made a concious decision to use concert footage for their "videos"

They really felt that some director could not visualize the intent of the music and they wanted the "listener" to be able to envision their own stories.

Since their vids were of concert footage, wearing the same "costumes" would facilitate editing and merging clips when necessary.

It was then and still is common for interviews to be done "pre" or "post" concert. Perry would be in his stage clothes.

Another not quite so warm and fuzzy reason:

Stage clothes are a business expense.

to huh? i think those are "outfits",, costumes are Pirates and stuff....

hey ,, you know how its like being cool... after you find out what looks good .. you wear it death... 8) its like telling a girl she looks good in green ,, then she goes out and buys $400 of green clothes..
