geez, the band can't even update their website for God's sake...
I don't know if you'll hear anything till it comes out. Neal and Jon suck Donkey Dicks, but I'm psyched to hear Arnel....

Um, 2 white russians into a Friday (no gig) night!

Until they bring back the original singer, they're screwed.

And by original singer, I mean Robert Fleischman.

Where the hell did that one come from. Certainly left field. Why would they be screwed unless they bring back RF? Sorry, I just don't understand that one.

Music is about the casual fan, and the casual journey fans out there care only about is Steve Perry and judging by the all the youtube clips I've seen, Arnel's voice is close enough to satisfy all these casual fans. Personally, I don't care what he sounds like, I'll hold my judgement until I hear him live, just like I did with Augeri and JSS. Based on what I saw these youtube videos, I think he is one hell of a singer and I can't wait to hear him during the next tour.

Speaking of Russians, are there any famous Rusian bands or singers?

None come to my mind. Either they really don't have anything worth while to sing about, or bands may have been banned in Russia.

I did a quick seach on wiki and came up with interesting stuff. Click on the link and scroll down to the Post-Soviet Music section for some band names and such.

2 Russians go into a bar on a Friday night where they hear a Filipino singer

1st Russian says to the other "Comrade, I think can we get Arnel sing for Gorky Park."

2nd Russian turns to him and says "Is good Boris, Gorky Park much better than Gourney."

I don't even think they're done yet. I would suspect that about 3 weeks before the first show we'll get a bone thrown our way. Hopefully, they showcase and support the new music better than in past years.

You know what the definition of insanity is, don't you Dan?

Answer: Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

Actually, sticking to the Dirty Dozen is the safest thing they could do. The general concert going audience wants to hear songs they know much more so than new music. However, for me, it will be an indication as to how much faith they have in the new lineup. If they do, they'll play 2 or 3 new songs per show. Shit, that isn't asking too much.

Not until the CD comes out... this band is notorious for not sharing info or anything else with the fans until it is old news.

Check out the "official" site that is being "updated" for the last year for an example.

Exactly.......Chernobyl would contribute to the mental and physical malfunctions that are witnessed in that clip.

Well, I don't think so either. Hell, back in Escape and Frontiers Days, they played almost all new stuff at concerts with a few favorites in the mix. Back then, though, with the magic that was there, they ALL became favorites and are now the Dirty Dozen. The problem is, in their defense, (which I'm not accustomed to doing), these songs won't get the airplay Journey songs got back in the day, so people won't be familiar with them like they were when they did them then. Listen to the crowd when DSB started in the Houston 81 video. Steve said that was the first time it was ever performed live and the album hadn't been out THAT long at the time. People made these songs their own real quick. I'm rambling, but hopefully I made my point.
