So that leaves Journey alone to snag Heart. That's my guess.

Who opens and closes in this scenario? My guess is Journey opens/Heart Closes.

My guess is that Ann and Nancy are smart enough not to share a stage with "Journey" at all...
;^)

I think a logical tour set-up would be Night Ranger, Loverboy, and Journey.

I love Heart, but I think it'd be a cold day in hell when we see Journey open for THEM!!! Would look funny to see Neal and the gang on the stage with Heart's incense burning up there though. As much as I like Heart, those are two hippy chicks! Maybe Journey could dress like they used to in the 70's for the shows, and Neal could bust out that fro again!

Heart's even less of a draw.
Bon Jovi as headliner would be huge. Maybe a 90s band like The Goo Goo Dolls or Hootie to hook the 90s crowd.
That REO, Styx & DefLep in the other thread doesn't appeal at all. Talk about a long night.
Reo & Styx or 1 with Lep's would make for a better show.

Bon Jovi.....A ten foot poll...

come on reality is ...I bet no band would want to be with them in there current situation!(unless there a no name of course...)

Bon Jovi is way overrated.. It won't be a problem..Journey has more hit songs than any of those other bands and if Arnel is really good it will be fine..I would love to see Journey/Europe.. That would be really good.. IMO

With all the chicks that dug Jovi in the 80s, a Journey/Jovi co-bill would sellout arenas.
Neither band are relevant anymore but those two together would click like Journey/Lep did.
No other band could draw with them as well. Don't think Jovi would do it but it'd work.

How about Journey open for the Hooters. I understand they are touring to support a new album.

i read somewhere, maybe on the main page, that cheap trick and heart were touring together this year. jovi sells out arenas by themselves. and they opened the pru center in newark for 10+ nights and had "current" bands opening for them, daughtry, my chemical romance, big and rich etc. i hope it's not journey/loverboy, because then i will have to miss loverboy.........

Yeah I know, coming from me, but tell me BA and Journey wouldn't be the perfect choice, especially overseas. Journey would definitely open, but they could call it co headlining.

Yeah, I think he would, but he has a rule now, where he only tours 10 days per month, and if you look on his site, it's all over the world. LA, Seattle, portland, then Kosovo, Russia, and Sweden.
I think if he is ready to do a tour like he did with Def Lippard, he would absolutely sign on. He played with George Thorogood here in the US for 15 dates, and before, Melissa Etheridge toured with BA. To me, it's a perfect scenario, but I DO know he wouldn't open.

Goddammit, I never would have thought you would come around, but you are ok in my book Maria. Welcome home, albeit 2 years late!

I'm not saying who would open for who but my guess is Journey with Duran Duran, Roxette and/or U2. Duran Duran and Roxette both have fairly new albums out so they would have some fresh materials to showcase. U2 has a batch of singles that they released in 06'. I would even go as far as to place Depeche Mode into the mix. R.E.M. is supposedly putting out a new album this year, I serously doubt it that Journey and R.E.M. would perform at the same show due to both band's putting out brand new albums the same year, but anything's almost possible. It's a wait and see type of situation. But these are my guesses.

Bryan Adams and Journey would be killer. The BA and Def Leppard tour was very successful a few years ago. This would be much bigger, especially considering they'd both be touring in support of new music. I would go see quite a few shows. Fuck it, Journey better gve us Adams or Foreigner. Nothing else I can think of is better.

I was always a BA fan. We just never discussed other music until recently

Saw him open in 1983 on the frontiers tour, saw him at MSG in 1985, then a couple of times at Jones Beach and about a year ago at the Beacon. Which was by far, the best show. In my book he is one of the few whose music has grown with his fans. And honestly he can do shows on his own, maybe featuring some up and coming artists like Sam Grow.

Come to think of it, I don't know if BA would ok with Sam, but they would go together I would guess. I always wanted Jeff to go out with BA. The exposure would be far greater than what Journey gave him, especially overseas. BA dwarfs Journey there. St John was correct, both have new music coming out. BA's hit from
11 comes out in 10 days. Now, where is Journey's?
