The Melodic Rock Journey Forum State Of The Union Address

Mr. McNiece, T-Bone, fellow posters and lurkers: In conjuction with the our loyalty and passion to this forum, we must stop and consider the state of this board. This January, and looking forward, we face many questions.

We have all served Journey in some capacity. Whether it be buying vinyl, 8 tracks, cassettes, concert tickets or CD's, we're all here due to a similar reason...our love for Journey. Recently, and arguably in the past, certain members have made enormous mistakes. We as fans face challenges. We will not deny or ignore these challenges. With courage and strength however, we will make informed decisions on the new lineup. For it is only through cowardice and fear of change that we will disrespect ourselves, music in general and the site's owner by acting like adloescents.

Greatness comes only through opportunity. This is a free board. Constructive criticism is welcome...it always has been. Tonight I have a message. Support this site, support its owner and support what it stands for. This has always been a place where like and differing minds meet, collide and debate. Let's keep it within the rules, support the owner and "Journey" on. That's all that is asked. Good night and God bless MR.

As a Reublican I don't think I'd stand a chance in that state!!! Besides, Arnold has done a decent job from what I've heard. No punchline...completely serious. Thanks all for the nice words.

Why are you saying this?

Why? Because watching a site I enjoy and spend a lot of time on go down the shitter was becoming too difficult. The negativity, over the top comments, and photo shopping shenanigans got Andrew some bad press and that affects his livelihood and income. That's why.

You sound like you've got entirely too much invested in a message board.

I watched the same thing. I waited till Andrew cleaned up a lot of the BS and came back.

No offense dude, but 'Drew oughta post his own State of the Board if anyone's gonna.

Do you really have to be mean to Saint John, even though he is trying to be POSITIVE?

He didnt do it to sound more important than Andrew. He did it cause he felt like it was about time something positive was said around here.
Dont you think that if Andrew didnt like what Saint John said, he wouldve deleted this post by now!???

I modeled it after actual State's of the Union to make it a bit light-hearted while still making a point. And Big J, yeah, I probably do spend too much time here, but that's my business and really isn't pertinent to the theme of my thread. If anything is a waste of time, it's you telling me I'm wasting my time.
