I have a slight preference for Tommy Shaw's singing over DeYoung. I wouldn't say it's a big difference to me, but I slightly prefer Shaw. There were a bunch more singers that I would have liked to put on the list, but I didn't want to make the list to long because if I did then no one would even bother answering.

I'm probably aiming for a flaming, but I gotta go with it..

As far back as the late 80's I was thinking that Eric Martin could have been a good choice to be the lead singer in Journey if they ever intended to do an album without Steve Perry. Martin's a great singer.

Anyone else think that Jeff Keith from Tesla sounds similar to Eric Martin?

Very much so, love both their voices. Eric's got more soul IMO though. I find EM's voice a mix between Jeff Keith and Steve Perry. He's got a little of JK's smoky rasp and a lot of SP's soul/passion. Best of both worlds vocally.
