OT- I Know You'll Think I'm Lame

I've noticed that with concerts, particularly primo seats like 1st, 2nd, 3rd row and VIP concert packages, they have to be bought in pairs. I know obviously they make more money that way, but what if you're single and don't have someone to go with or don't have the money to buy a pair of tickets? VIP packages, for BON JOVI for example cost round $1000 to $1200 a piece, so as a single person you'll end up paying double. I know you could sell the tickets, but it seems like unfair advantage to those who can just pay double no problem not to mention a little discrimatory.

Verizon Amphitheater has jacked up those VIP prices, to be sure. I'd rather stand on the grass with the real fans.

I go to concerts alone all the time because I find it easier to GET single seats close up to the stage! I've never been forced to buy two - always just one. AND I get close every time - got 7th row for Huey Lewis and 2nd row for Jimmy Buffett!

Not with Bon Jovi. They always, the ticket brokers make you buy them in pairs. I was checking out VIP tickets where you can on stage, pairs. On second thought, I don;t know why I'm complaining. Don't have the money for even one vip, lol. They're coming to greensboro in march, and if I go, I'll be in $49 section.

That sounds like the section I was in at the last Journey concert. You know, the one where people are pissing right next to your foot? Yeah, that's the one.

It's good business. They figure 90% of concert goers go in pairs, no offence...BJ management is smart to do it this way, as they figure they can collect say 200 for a couple versus maybe 100 for a single, but if no other singles are sold, they are fucked. Some bands won't do it though. I managed a single to BA, and I bet they wished I hadn't got it. Drank 7 Jaegers too many, and fell into a crowd of women...what a complete ass I am.

Okay, now I am having an intense flashback. This will be my third time seeing BJ at the Greensboro Coliseum. If you buy the nose bleed seats prepare to faint, because it's hotter than HADES up there.

Sounds like me at Motley Crue. Those of you in Virginia that met Wayne (my friend) probably remember him telling this one. I got so drunk I had to piss every 15 minutes. I finally got tired of missing songs and decided to piss in one of my (many) empty beer cups. Problem is I wasn't pissing in the cup as much as I was on the side of the cup. Pissed all over the dude's leg in front of me who was wearing shorts. I really felt bad for the guy...for about 5 seconds.

For some reason when I read this, I suspected the ending was going to involve you forgetting which one you voided in and which one was actually your beer. Kinda glad it didn't end that way (gross)! Hehe!

In two days I will be buying tickets to an ASIA show in a non-Ticketmaster venue. I'll pick something like 5th to 10th row in the middle, and will only pay $29.50/ticket. MUCH cheaper than a TicketMaster venue.

Anyone that would pay $1200 to see Bon Jov. needs to have there fuking head examined. He voice is so whiney it sounds like my aunt marge when she smoked 3 packs of Winston 100s a day
