87 was perhaps the best year of the 80s for music, in my opinion. Which of these is your favorite from that year, twenty years ago?

I voted for "Pride" by White Lion. Still one of my favorite albums and Vito Bratta's playing on that album was his best, in my opinion.

Yep, i liked the White Lion album, but i'm sure this was the year that Bryan Adams released Into The Fire - so that would get my vote - Eternal Idol by Sabbath maybe as well..

Yep, i liked the White Lion album, but i'm sure this was the year that Bryan Adams released Into The Fire - so that would get my vote - Eternal Idol by Sabbath maybe as well..

Same top 3 for me, except Hysteria is no. 1.

What a list! My vote, hands down, is for "Hysteria". I thought it was the best melodic rock album, ever. After watching the documentary on the making of "Hysteria", it's not surprising that it turned out as well as it did. The guys in Def Leppard, along with Mutt Lange weren't going to be satisfied with "Hysteria" until it was pretty damn near perfect. There were a couple of tracks I didn't care for, but on the whole, it was SUPERB!

p.s. For Def Leppard fans...Pick up the DVD titled "Historia". There is a GREAT acoustic version of "Hysteria" , with just Joe Elliot and Phil Collin. Joe's voice sounds quite strong, and there are ZERO artificial enhancements.

There were several I could pick, but I liked more songs off Hysteria. Plus, it brings back some fabulous memories...

The King of Pop all the way. That guy just works a stage like no one else, Bad Is a pretty sick album too. Give credit where credit is due!

Ooo, Overlooked Bruce's Tunnel Of Love...Daveo, you're right what a banner year that was.

The title track is the best Bruce song ever cut, it's got 2 Faces, One Step Up (one of the few ballads I actually love and cherish in all of music), Brilliant Disguise, Walk Like A Man, Cautious Man, Tougher Than The Rest, Valentines Day, damn what an album....grabbing it right now; good work, daveCt
