Neal, Don & George Together -- FRO-KKEN!

Just ran across this -- ALWAYS loved this song, and probably the only time you will see Neal Schon, Don Dokken and George Lynch together. :P Great footage of Schon, as well as his axe-work -- he's immediately followed up by George Lynch on one part. Yeah, that huuuuge guitar solo is killer! I bet Neal had a blast with all those guys... When he's singing, he's standing two places to the left of Blackie Lawless... :P

Geoff Tate sounds like two completely different vocalists in his first line, and I'm still not convinced that's actually him singing the first portion of it... ("Singers and songs will never change it alone...")

Wouldn't I have loved to have been there with a silver autograph pen handy! :P

Wow - thanks for linking this. I was never much into heavy metal/heavy rock so it was good to put a face to some of the names I have heard floating around.

And I have to add a "girl" moment here - I had forgotten how good-looking Neal was before he decided to surgically enhance his appearance. He looked like he was having a ball with all the other guys!

I was thinking more along the lines of "Sukken."

You know, I was thinking about that, too... He looks great in that video. Did he have plastic surgery later on?

That's what I hear. His face looks all tight and pulled back now, and it isn't aging. Most people who age have their features drop, not recoil into their hairlines.

Maybe he got his face ripped off by George Lynch's and Yngwie Malmsteen's shredding in that song, and had to have it reconstructed! :P You are right, though... I don't see many wrinkles on him.

Why thank ye! Should be here, but I'll have to get jacked up on Ginseng tea... :P The "Rip Rokket" (my car) was in the shop getting oil change, alignment and new tires this morning, so I had extra time to screw off today. Wife needed some attention as well... :P Gotta work out when I get back, rake leaves, watch 2 movies we rented... and I should be here tonight... :P

LOL... Better pass, man... Trust me, if I posted here while under the influence, it would only be a matter of time before I followed AR out the door. But it would be hillarious while it lasted, that's for sure! :P

Screw leaf raking... I'll leave that for tomorrow and hope it doesn't rain or get too cold. Two films... "The Marine" with John Cena, and what appears to be a chick flick called "Caffeine" with Katherine Hiegel, because I'm such a sensitive guy... :P Speaking of movies with wrestlers, I recently saw "The Condemned" w/Stone Cold Steve Austin, and it far exceeded my limited expectations. Very entertaining. :P

Saw the end of The Marine and it was below average. Hot chick in it, though. 8) Two actually.

I've passed it up several times in the movie stores... Rented this copy for a buck, and hope it's at least worth watching. What will be worth watching is the new RAMBO film, and here are several new clips:

You were right... it was way below average... at least it didn't take itself seriously, and they played it close to a comedy, which wasn't my original impression. At the beginning he looked very much like Schwartzeneggar in "Commando", but the stunts and action were ridiculously over the top and implausible (by design, apparently), and the characters were exaggerated stereotypes. Still, there was one odd surprise...

The chick who plays his wife, Kelly Carson, looked EXACTLY like my wife in the face, but with shorter, blonde hair instead of long black hair. I mean, at any angle her face looked the same. I called her in after pausing a shot and said, "Check this out... Who does that look like?", and her jaw dropped. She kept coming in and looking... it was just freaky... the facial expressions, the complexion, everything. I've always wondered what the Mrs. would look like with blond hair, and I guess now I know! Here is a picture of that actress:

You won't be able to tell from any of the other photos I've posted, but if you were around her, you'd see it... FREAKY!!!

I MADE my husband take me to Walking Tall a few years ago just so I could watch the Rock sweat with no shirt on for two hours....still have no idea what the movie was about, I just know I LOVED IT!!!! I've seen it a few times.

I loved all the originals, especially the ones with Bo Svenson. I didn't like The Rock's version nearly as well, and there have now been 2 rapid-release DTV sequels with Kevin Sorbo in the lead. Have you seen either of those?

I bet Neal was embarrassed as all Hell. I bet he wished he was in the Fog City Diner in Frisco, sucking off Bolton to Tell Me How am I supposed to Live Without You. That would be better than rocking with Dokkin

Um if The Rock's not in it with his shirt off-I haven't seen it.

Nah, I think it made his hunger to rock out even stronger... :P So see, you can thank Don Dokken (and Blackie Lawless, of course!) for indirectly influencing Neal's harder-edged work in Journey, Hardline, HSAS, etc... :P
