Here's how real men catch fish!!!

Although I live in the south (and do love catfishing), I've honestly never tried this! I've also never caught a fish that big. The biggest I've ever caught on a rod is 18 pounds. I actually caught 2 that size. The biggest I ever caught with a Troutline was 36 pounds. Check out these guys and their technique!!!

That's crazy! I love fishing, but I don't know about that way!

My biggest catch was a King Salmon in British Columbia. Fishing with my husband and my Dad and our fishing guide. What a beauty, Chinook- 36 pounds and about 36 inches long! The look on my Dad's face as he watched me reel that baby in after the fight I will NEVER forget. He was so proud! He had been taking me fishing since I was a little girl.

The day before that was that dreaded story of the "one that got away". We (hubby and I) took turns fighting that sucker for 90 minutes. All of the other boats backed off around us and just waited us out, following our progress on the radios. And then boom!! We see the seal dive off the rock and then the tip of the pole comes back up and it was gone! I have never looked at seals the same way. They are so not cute anymore!

Out to dinner that night in town we were talking and the waiter said "that was you guys"! Aaaahhhh! We would have made the brochures! The dive guide estimated maybe 75 pounds.

You had me curious for a moment there. Thought you were posting that one I saw a few years ago from Afghanistan where the local troops were hungry so they went fishing with some rather expensive or better yet...some rather explosive tackle.

Holy shit! (Pardon my language!)

I don't fish but that is impressive.

I will however, eat fish and there had to be some mighty fine fillets in those big buggers!
