REMATCH of 1962 NFL championship...... I bet Brett is shocked this morning that they will be playing at home!!
But theGIANTS are giant killers lately!! this will be one awesome game!! I think the Giants can pull the upset.
But thats just me keeping this low key for now!!!

I think, if anyone has the intanglibles asset, it's the Giant's big time. IMHO, it will all come down to Eli. If the cheesers can rattle Eli and make him go outside his game plan, he's going to throw some grapefruits and a few interceptions will mean the difference between a tight game and an upset.

However, if Eli can make sure the ball always goes blue and not green, NYG will have at least a fair chance at pulling this off.

Boy, yesterday sucked...I live in the Indy area and the Colts lost. I've been a big time Cowboys fan for most of my life and they lose to the Giants.

I'm still alive, though.

If you look at why the Seahawks got beat, and this is NO excuse, but look at the gameplan. Seattle's game plan was to pressure Favre. The front 7 of Seattle is very good, and when you cannot get traction and speed and get to the QB, they were toast. Favre himself prayed for snow. He arrived at Lambeau at 1130A local Green Bay time. He watched tape and also the The Weather Channel.

Again, NO excuses, hats off to GB, but next week, the forecast is for no snow. The Giants game plan was similar to Seattle's and in Dallas, where there was NO snow, look what happened. Romo was forced all day, and G men win.

Just sayin.....

If there is no snow, Giants front 7 can win the game for NY.

The Giants have showed a lot of heart in the playoffs, and Tom Coughlin saved his job. Their run is about to come to an end. They're not beating the Packers in Lambeau, snow or no snow! Brett is punching his final ticket to the Super Bowl next Sunday!

You better worry about your own team there Enigma.

NE played a flawless game and still won by a small margin. Granted, a W is a W, and I respect the Hell out that team.

Dean...

I'm honestly not worried, at all. It's the playoffs. As we learned this weekend, ANYTHING can happen. I understand that the Patriots aren't guaranteed a victory, just by showing up. As far as the Patriots playing a "flawless game" and only winning by a small margin...I'm not sure it matters much. I've been hearing for the past 8 weeks how all these teams have the "blueprint" to beat the Patriots and how many people have criticized the Patriots for being "almost beaten". Almost beaten doesn't count! As I've said before, the score doesn't make any difference, AT ALL, until the clock reads 0:00!

The Patriots could lose to San Diego, Green Bay, or the Giants. These teams didn't get this far because they suck! I personally think the Patriots are far more talented than any of the teams remaining, but, I also thought the 2001 Rams were FAR more talented than the 2001 Patriots, and it didn't seem to matter! No matter how it ultimtely turns out, it's still the greatest offense that's ever been put on an NFL field, and I've enjoyed the ride!

When your QB is 26 for 28, with two drops, you aren't going to lose. The question is, can the Bolts get some pressure on Brady?

Favre played like a man possessed against the seahawks and if he continues along those lines, no way in hell the giants win that game. Dude is a HOF QB and Saturday he showed why. Only needs to play like that two more times and he may end up with another superbowl ring.

Exactly. That off-balance pitch is prime example. I feel a LOT better knowing this game is going to be at Lambeau.

Gotta say...Brett Favre is the greatest dude in sports, but Tom Brady is a class guy. He is very well spoken and doesn't run smack and if anyone can run smack, it's a NE QB.

I've always been a Favre fan, but I don't think the comparison between he and Brady makes much sense. I think Brady is a FAR better QB, on a fundamental level, than Favre has ever been. What has always made Favre so good is the "winging it" mentality. Dude goes against all conventional wisdom when it comes to playing QB in the NFL, and it works for him. I certainly think both he and Brady will land in the Hall of Fame, but I think Brady will be viewed as a much better QB, in spite of all of Favre's ridiculous numbers! I also think by the time Brady's career is over, he will have won more Super Bowls than any other QB, in NFL history.

Good point, Dean. That's why I'm amazed when I read some posts on this board about people hating Brady. It doesn't make much sense to me. The guy NEVER says the wrong thing, ALWAYS respects his opponent, and ALWAYS puts the team first! Whether your a fan of a team or not, there is a right and wrong way to carry oneself, and Brady has always done things the right way, when it comes to football. Hating Brady to me is like hating Favre. I'm not much of a Packers fan, but not sure how or why anyone wouldn't find Brett Favre to be a very likeable guy!

John you got a little bit of that last Brady load running down your chin. I don't think you need to hype the guy up anymore bro. It is quite obvious to anyone who even casually watches football that the guy is all that and then some. At this point I really do hope they finish up a 19 game undefeated season just to shut up the Miami assholes.

You're right John.

You can't compare the two. Favre has played with the JV team his entire career, while Brady has the all state team to play with. You said it yourself, Favre's numbers are insane and his teams were never that good.

OK, here is a semi poll for you.

Of these QB's, who would you most want to, kind of want to, or no want to, hang with in a bar drinking foolishly on a Saturday afternoon?

Favre
Hasselback
Brady
Mcnabb
Hasselback
Manning, P

I bet Favre would be the best. Levis, and throwing beers.

I see Manning in Dockers sipping beer or wine for that matter.

Hasselback seems cool as shit.

McNobb would probably talk race issues. Fuck his black ass.

Romo would be cool. He could get us al chicks

Whatever. The scoreboard NEVER lies. It couldn't have happened to a better team than the Raiders. I hope they never win a game again, ever. I HATE them with every breath of my being.

Yeah...the Oakland game is the reason that Brady won three Super Bowls and threw 50 TD passes this season! What a brilliant statement!

Damn right. I can remember clearly him being a pompous asshole at one game up in Boston the weekend before Thanksgiving in 98 or 99. Of course we stomped the shit out of them that day. I want to say that was Vick's first year. Haven't liked the dude since.

What the hell are you smoking? Who the hell has Brady played with, prior to this season???? There isn't one QB in the history of the NFL who has won THREE Super Bowls with less talent than Brady has! Favre has played with the JV team his entire career? Really? Dude played with Sterling Sharpe, Antonio Freeman, Robert Brooks, Reggie White, Keith Jackson, Mark Chmura, and that's just off the top of my head. Tell me one single guy on any of the three Patriots teams who matchup with ANY of those guys!!!!!! Sorry, but Favre had FAR more talent surrounding him for most of his career than Brady had surrounding him!

If there is no snow, Giants front 7 can win the game for NY.

There may not be snow forecasted for sunday. But they are playing late in the day and we are suppose to get a very big blast of cold. The temps are suppose to be single digits with wind chills below zero. Just what the Packers are use to playing in. In the end we'll see who wins. For me, it's the Packers that I'll be routing for.
