Yeah!! Now that is great to hear!! I haven't heard Rik Emmett lately, hope he still has the voice. Anybody seen him lately? Saint John, didn't you see him last year??

Great stuff! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRDS9AwDF6g

Yes...awesome. He obviously doesn't have all of his 80's range, but he re-did the songs in an artistic way that made the deviation from the original seem ever so slight. He was great...brought down the house at Peterik's World Stage show. Probably the highlight of the night. Plays a mean guitar, too. 8)

Yea. Triumph's rythm section just doesn't match up to Rush. Now if there was a chance of Emmett joining Rush, that would be very interesting. 8)

Triumph is better than Rush simply because they have a lead singer that doesn't make you want to blow your fucking brains out when he opens his mouth.

Tommy Shaw will be doing something with DDY way before Steve Perry ever does anything with Journey.

True, I don't believe for one second Steve will ever join Journey again.

I don't either, Deb. I was being sarcastic in my post above. :D

Hahahahahahahahaha.... I LOVE Rush's music, but I can't stand Geddy's voice. I'd probably listen to more of their stuff if they had a different vocalist

I agree. All of these bands that have put HUGE differences aside and done this for their fans (and the $$$) are really selfish. What could they be thinking.

Neither you nor I have any idea of what went on behind the scenes. :? Whether he/they are right or wrong in never joining again doesn't matter, I was just saying IMO I can't see him ever joining Journey again. However I could possibly see him and Neal working together again down the road when the band "Journey" is all said and done. (maybe just wishful thinking :) )

Have you listened to Rush the past...decade? The high pitch wales are long gone in favor of lower, smoother, vocal passages. Sure he sounds harsh trying to re-produce the older material but Mr.Lee can sing very well when it's in a comfortable range. I think his vocals sound great on the last few albums. They fit the music perfectly. ;)

I hear that guy played all the instruments on his recordings except for the drums. I know... Dean Castronova can play drums for him, and they can call it Aldo CastroNova!

Same here. Like the music, but not a big fan of his voice. But for some reason couldn't get enough of this song back in the day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuwkTtowshA

Not a huge Rush fan so haven't kept up and have no idea what Geddy sounds like now. Like texafana mentioned, might just have to check out something more recent.

PS: Rip Rokken, Triumph would headline.

Unfortunately the music sounds like a size 5 shoe on a size 12 foot

Sometimes you just can't work with a co worker and have to move on..Perry probably needs the money less than any of those guys..In his mind ,he paid his due and probably wouldn't mind putting out a new album, but he knows the fans will want to see him live and I don't think he wants to travel like that anymore..Its alot of work..

Triumph was a really underrated band for some reason. I'm really looking forward to seeing them. Rik's voice sounded awesome last year and the man can play some serious guitar as well. Journey would be lucky if they could grab these guys and tour with them.

I loved Triumph and they were a GREAT live band that ROCKED... to me they are more like an early version of Metalica!!! LOUD LOUDER AND EVEN LOUDER STILL.
Saw them back in 1982?? I think...just blew the roof off of the concert hall!!
