OT: Ding Dong... Gone

[Rant Mode On]
So.... Here I was... On my day off.... waiting for a delivery that I KNOW was coming today, because it was confirmed on the FedEx website (On Truck For Delivery) as well as by an operator at the FedEx hub when I called to ask. FedEx is NOT well known for their consistancy around here as far as timing goes, so it could be at 8am or 6pm depending on the driver.
The nearest FedEx hub from me is 70 miles away, and I've already had to drive down there 2 different times because the FedEx people cannot READ when I leave them a note saying my only day off during the work week (that week anyway) was "_____", so Please come that day and I'll be here. They try 3 times, 3 different days and then give up, but never on the day I ask them.
Anyway...
It's my only day off this week, so I get to spend time with Ashlynn and maybe visit my parents, who have called 3 times wondering when I was coming over with baby
I told them when FedEx delivers my package. I sat up all morning with baby, doing odd stuff around the house, doing dishes, laundry, etc... Nothing... Afternoon rolls around... still nothing.
4pm rolls around, I hear a vehicle pull into the driveway so I got up with baby (I was in my livingroom) and then I heard my screen door open... and then close, a then a DING DONG. My livingroom is 10 feet from my back door. I put Ashlynn in her high chair, open the door (took 5 seconds at best) and the FedEx guy is already getting into his truck and backing up.
I could see the "Sorry We Missed You" note they leave on the door. I yelled at him and he finally stops as he's putting it into Drive to drive away.
He pulls back into the driveway, and I realize it's the FUCKING PRICK driver that we can't stand that delivers to my work. The guy has ZERO personality, ZERO People-Skills, ZERO humor, and ZERO patience.
He gets out without saying a word, and drags out my box from the truck. Then has the nerve to try and tell me that he knocked a few times and didn't get an answer... I interrupted him with a nice "BULLSHIT!"
I layed into the guy and basically told him.. Don't give me that bullshit! I heard you pull up, I heard the screen door, and I heard the doorbell. I was RIGHTFUCKINGTHERE when you opened my door and rung the bell. I put my daughter down and you were already back to your truck and trying to take off.
He then tried to interrupt me and say he waited about 10-15 seconds because he had to fill out the "Sorry We Missed You" note and I threw the BULLSHIT Flag on that one. (I'm sure he has them all filled out ahead of time)
From the time he got to my door, left the note and rang the bell took about 5 seconds. I then scolded him saying how nice it was to sit and wait for the FedEx guy all day on my ONLY day off this week, and then have him pull that shit. He replies with the "Well, if we sat around and waited for everyone to answer their doors, I'd be out on my route for an hour longer than I already am!" in a snotty-ass tone of voice. I then asked him if he's ever given any thought to the fact that he may be in the wrong profession?
I signed for the package and he yanked the ledger thing from my hands and didn't even bother answering me and turned to walk away. I told him it's a good thing I know his full name and have his trucks license plate for when I call to file a complaint with FedEx.
He glanced back and gave me a nasty-ass look.
I called the hub in Rochester and talked with some manager guy and told him what I thought of Mr. Joel **** and his delivery practices. He was very apologetic about the situation and said he'd deal with it. I told him hopefully he does, because next time I have to call, I'll go further up the ladder. I then informed him of how Mr. Joel acts when he's delivering at the plant and his demeanor towards the employees and other drivers. I can't wait to see Mr. Joel **** next time he delivers here or at work.
If this was a one-time thing, I'd usually let it go, but this guy is a constant prick. It's like he lives to make others around him miserable, because he's miserable himself.
On a side note... This guy isn't even liked by his fellow drivers, not to mention the other drivers from other delivery companies such as Dunham and UPS. They often run into each other when they're making deliveries to the plant and they all have to sign in at the Gatehouse. He's often pretty rude to them when he has to wait or he's behind them in line. We've even tried the "Kill'em with Kindness" approach and that hasn't even worked. This guy just plain hates life...
