Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew

Alright. Not much on tv right now before the football games starts...and I am not feeling well..so just hanging in bed..skimming around the television..and this show is on VH1. While I depise these sort of shows..if nothing is on..I sometimes will watch them to give them a chance. What a piece of crap. Just another celebrity show to make them look even more stupid. Dr. Drew isn't muc different from being a opportunist than Dr Phil is. If this show helps one of them..great..but this sort of thing should really be done in private..not on tv. If they are doing it to prove a point to others..fine..but I don't by it.
This is one of the most insensitive/stupid reality shows that has been put on in awhile.
Damn..there's a reason right there to never get mixed up with drugs..look at what they have turned Jeff Conaway into.. That's just to damn hard to even look at.

I DVR'd it and watched this morning as well....that was just horrific. I agree, NOT a situation that should be exploited for tv ratings.

Not sure about the motives either. You are right, though, Jeff Conaway looks like hell. During Pop Up Video earlier, they showed the Grease Remix - he looked FINE! Sure, everyone looks older, but Travolta is holding up well, as are most of the other cast members. Frankly, after Conaway's performance on Celebrity Fit Club (he showed up lit on there, too) I'm surprised he's still alive.

I think that is how he ended up in this rehab - it was determined that he was in great trouble. At least they didn't just vote him off the island.

I do agree tho that what I watched yesterday (and that was the first time I have ever seen it) it seemed to me that everyone also suffered an addiction to attention. They seem to draw energy from it.

Brigitte Neilsen seems a lot more level than when I saw her on Flavor of Love (or whatever it is called - I watched it once also) and Brigitte was so damn high and making out with every man and woman in sight. It was not attractive.

It seems the people here have very serious problems - the kind that they may never be able to deal with.

Prayers go out to them and their loved ones.

Your last comment , evokes the exact response they were looking for when they started this show

I think its awesome they have it on t.v., it shows exactly how awful it is to come off drugs and Dr. Drew does a fantastic job of explaining the mental
anguish the people are going through. [The mind thinks the body is going to die if it doesn't get drugs.]
This is one reality show that is actually real. Its well done.

I didn't mean to imply that the show doesn't serve a good purpose - it was really powerful stuff! As long as the "celebrity" part doesn't devalue it. And you're right - that Dr. Drew is awesome!!

I am actually a big fan of Dr. Drew. I think, I could be wrong that he really cares about what he does. I haven't seen this CELEB REHAB, but the participants have chosen to be on there. It isn't like he's barging in on them and then talking about their protected health information without their permission unlike another famous Dr.
