Why would someone in his position need to do drugs? He's an in demand actor and I guarantee you, his role as the Joker in the upcoming Batman movie was about to turn him into an A-lister in Hollywood circles.

I don't think he was married to the baby's mother. I read in a magazine they had just broken up. So sad, and such a waste.

Yeah, it's all done. Even still, if they could get away with Brandon Lee dying with only 3/4 of The Crow completed, with some out of the box thinking they could tweak things with what they have already.

Maybe he was having deep depression issues,who knows?If it was suicide,I can only think of that. Poor guy.

The housekeeper who went to let him know the masseuse had arrived found him dead at 3:26 p.m.

The Australian-born actor was nominated for an Oscar for "Brokeback Mountain," where he met Michelle Williams in 2005. The two had lived in Brooklyn and had a daughter, Matilda, until they split up last year.

He most recently appeared in "I'm Not There," in which he played one of the many incarnations of Bob Dylan - as did Cate Blanchett, whose performance in that film earned an Oscar nomination Tuesday for best supporting actress.
