In order to not let Jon Gibson off the hook and bury his classless remarks on the death of Heath Ledger.

Ledger's Death Is A Laughing Matter
Filed under: Australiastic > Heath Ledger

This is reprehensible!

Fox News Talk Network host John Gibson announced the sad and tragic death of actor Heath Ledger on Tuesday by mocking him and making light of his untimely passing.

Disgusting!

We've been on this creep's show before and we will boycott his show in the future, unless he issues an apology.

Here's a rundown of what happened:

"Playing an audio clip of the iconic quote, 'I wish I knew how to quit you' from Ledger’s gay romance movie Brokeback Mountain, Gibson disdainfully quipped, 'Well, he found out how to quit you.' Laughing, Gibson then played another clip from Brokeback Mountain in which Ledger said, 'We’re dead,' followed by his own, mocking 'We’re dead' before playing the clip again."

Gibson called Ledger a "weirdo" with a "serious drug problem" and suggested that Ledger killed himself because he had "a serious position in the (stock) market" or perhaps "watched the Clinton-Obama debate last night. I think he was an Edwards guy, cause he saw his Edwards guy was just completely irrelevant."

Click here to listen to the audio of John Gibson's shameful handling of Heath Ledger's death.

OneRepublic sings, "It's too late to apologize." But it's not!

Say you're sorry, John Gibson, or you're no different than hatemonger Fred Phelps.

Update: Feel free to email john.gibson@foxnews.com and let him directly know your thoughts!

You can also email his show at myword@foxnews.com and the network at yourcomments@foxnews.com.

And, if you wanna email the CEO of Fox News, his info is roger.ailes@foxnews.com.

John Gibson is a complete asshole. FNC should fire him for being such an embarrassment.

I watch Fox all the time.

There is no excuse for this, and they will hear from me. :(

I hope when he loses a brother or sister or son or daughter, that someone does that shit to HIM and see how he likes it.

Asshole. What the fuck is wrong with people??

I can't believe that piece of shit can get away with that.

I urge everyone to write FOX and let them know what you think.

It's so fuckin' funny to me that homosexuals can be trashed, bashed and killed with not a second look. I know Heath wasn't gay, but him playing a gay character made him a little more tuned into the gay community and how we're treated.

You people do it on here all the time too. I see you calling each other fags and cock suckers and whether you realize it or not, Journey does have gay fans and bisexual fans and lesbian fans and black fans and Asian fans and to say some of the things you guys do on here makes you no better than John Gibson or Rush Limbaugh or any of those assholes who thinks it's okay to trash people simply because they are different.

I guess it's the last form of tolerable discrimination to belittle and degrade homosexuals.

SAD!

Easy. I used to wish AIDS on people and hope they'd die, until death came to my door. Let's not stoop to Fox News' level.

I was with ya until you said that. I'm sure you've heard of hate crime laws that protect homosexuals along with other special groups, right? If I ever made a disparaging remark about a homosexual at my job, I'd be fired. Not that I would, but I'm just trying to give you an example.

I think the last form of tolerable discrimination is to mock Christianity and fat people. Other than that, people lose their minds.

I think he was wrong for saying it, but I am sick of people being boycotted, fired, etc. for saying things on the air. This country is too damn thin-skinned, and worries about things that mean nothing in the big picture. Like the article I posted the other day, Britney Spears as the #1 Google search for 6 of the last 7 years, with Paris Hilton being the other one. We have way more things to worry about that crap like that.

So what if Imus calls basketball players nappy headed hos? So what if that female golf announcer used the word "lynch" when talking about Tiger Woods? They're just words. They have no power unless you let them.

Dude, you're such a cocksucker. We aren't being broadcast to millions of listeners, and even though a million or 250 million may be able to read this, it has been cemented, that I call a lot of people fags, cocksmokers, choad suckers, etc....It's done in fun here, and I might add, we aren't dancing on someone's grave. I have NO problem with homosexuality, none. More chicks for us!

Try telling African Americans that who were forever referred to as N's.

Words do have power and you're being ignorant if you think they don't.

Evil people have no right to push their bigotry and bullshit prejudices on the rest of us. Keep it at home if you can't keep your fuckin' mouth shut!

Ya, I see your point, but this was just ridiculously poor taste. I can't stand John Gibson anyway, so this really seals it as far as I'm concerned. If I were Fox News, I wouldn't want him representing me.

I watch O'Reilly and Cavuto, but that's about it other than a few minutes of Fox & Friends when I get ready in the morning. I never watch John Gibson's show because he makes my skin crawl, but now I intensely dislike him.

He's not denying there are more than 200,000 homeless vets. He is challenging John Edwards on his inference that they are in that condition because of the economy. Bill's posiition is that the vast majority are suffering substance abuse problems or mental illness - as with most non veteran homeless people.

I really don't like Bill O'Reilly, but he has interesting topics on his show, so I watch.

I love how you cannot see that people on your side of the political fence are partisan hacks.

I wonder why O'Reilly's ratings are more than 10x that of Keith's. I think O'Reilly tries to provide factual information, but there are a lot of topics he is completely clueless on and he comes off as a bit of curmudgeon when it comes to the internet and certain other social issues.

In a world where an ESPN anchor gets suspended for a ROAST I am sure this guy will get some comeuppance. But I agree with NIG, freedom of speech gives them an open forum and gives us the choice to change the channel. If you have a problem with John, don't listen, but don't take it out on advertisers or parent companies. If his ratings fall he will get fired.

Surprised no one also talking about Dana Jacobson and the whole ESPN Mike and Mike roast mess.
I like the Mike and Mike show. One of the only radio talk shows I really even care for today. I like Dana Jacobson and ESPN..but damn..what gets into people sometimes. Maybe alcohol this time.. If that's what it was..no excuse..but another prove of how stupid drinking can make you.

Oh I do see that Barb. Keith is definitely a partisan hack, BUT, he is correct when he slays Bushie nightly. Abrams is just cool. Very smart and always factual. But yes, I agree, they slant left on MSNBC. I do think they close gap against Faux. Remember, Faux leans right. MSNBC left. CNN has more viewers than any of them. MSNBC is the fastest growing of the three, easily.

When the Dems take over in November, Fox may get a shot in the arm, because they can turn their guns on the people in power. Rush will like it too.

PM Drew this. He didn't get the memo.

The one's who know I am onto them are baiting like mad in that other thread. They will be history. Hahahaha. You know who I am talking about? That skank who "notified police" about me. LOL hahahaahahaha
