For any Beatle fans out there. Ringo was on the Late Late Show and Letterman and performed a new song and his standard from Sgt. Pepper. Good shows.

He was also on Letterman (complete performance of new song).

Missed that one, but think King can be heard on itunes podcast. BTW, the guitarist is Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame.

On a related note, I found a couple interesting clips of Pete Best with Letterman in 1982.

Ringo Starr is a knob.

Uses the Liverpool Capital of Culture 2008 to try and boost he wading career. God even Peter Criss is a better drummer.

Speaking of Ringo

This show he walked off of is useless anyways, but thought I'd add it to the current news of Ringo thread. Enjoy.

I was never a Beatles fan, but it's good to see them still around and making music.

I could google it but would rather hear your terminology. Is a knob Brit for a jerk or worse than that?

A lot of his songs I don't like and this new one isn't anything to rave about but as you said its bearable. Its saving grace is of course his mentioning the other Beatles in it.

Thanks Sushi, may I call you Sushi? :D

One thing I have to give him credit is not putting up with Regis and Kelly's bs. They tried to get him to cut the song really short and he just skipped doing it altogether. Dave Stewart had a funny comment about it:

Dave Stewart quote:

However, Stewart had plenty of criticism for the Regis and Kelly, calling it "disrespectful treatment of us as artists."

"Four minutes (3 minutes and 40 seconds, actually) seemed like an appropriate amount of time for a former Beatle. Mr. Gelman apparently felt Ringo's musical legacy should take a back seat to additional banter about the size of Ms. (Kelly) Ripa's derriere," he said in a statement.

Haha, :)

Yes a "Knob" is pretty much a Jerk, just slightly more offensive (wouldnt usually hear it on television during mid-day etc)
