I decided to setup a Head East Tribute page on YouTube to share some of my older Head East songs and photos on. John Schlitt has always been my favorite vocalist next to Steve Perry. They both seem to have that high-tenor, passion-filled, soulful sound to their voice that pulls you right into their music.

My first video effort is a song from Head East's 1978 self-titles album called "Dance Away Lover". I couldn't find it anywhere on YouTube, so I figured it would be a good one to start with. It was a great ballad that never got its fair share of airplay.

I LOVE HEAD EAST!!! The music ROCKED!! JEfftown creek is a favorite!!! Plus their version of Since you Been gone.

Head East has always been one of my favorite bands. Flat as a Pancake one of my all time favorite albums. Oh the 70s.

I always wondered why they couldn't get much of a following outside the Midwest. They were (are?) great live too. Haven't seen them in about 3 to 4 years, but they're still out there once and a while.

Pre Petra Schlitt. Verra Nice. Amazing how well he kept his voice well into the late 90s, 00s.

Always get a kick out of the difference tween Head East and Rainbow's "Since You've Been Gone"
