I thought for sure the new website would have some clips of Arnel singing the classics. I was slightly surprised when I heard Perry on DSB as the site loaded.

Maybe they will use the Arnel stuff for radio adds for the upcoming tour?

Maybe they will add the songs to the new cd as a bonus disc?

Maybe give it away with a ticket on the upcoming tour?


What's done is done. The songs have been rerecorded. How do you think Journey will use them?

My first guess would be TV/radio advertisements for upcoming shows.

Dude, to this day for every radio ad that I EVER heard....Perry was still the voice behind most of the background tracks.......I'll believe it when I see it that Ar-not has re-recorded all the classics.....But then again, so did SA and JSS everynight, just live....

I thought they re-recorded the classics with the intent of selling them through walmart, no? (I still throw up in my mouth just a little every time I think about it)

I agree, they should post (at least 30 second) samples of what Arnel sounds like on the website. I mean if they're touring the GH's, let's hear what the guy who's singing them sounds like already.

That's what I think. I think the re-recorded classics will be a bonus second disc to the new album.

They were recorded so Walmart could sell their own version of the Greatest Hits - Why would they bring Kevin Shirley in to record radio promos?
