A band that doesn't get much mention round here. If you like'em or related stuff, post it here.

Love Rhythm of Love, Big City Nights, Still Loving You, Blackout, In Trance and countless others. While it's not as good as the original, Jeff does an awesome job on In Trance in this clip.

Ha ha, Jeff just dissed us. He said "I love these OLD songs."

Good clip. Nothing Jeff can't cover well.

Rock You Like a Hurricane - of course

No One Like You
Big City Nights

Klaus's vocals are very similar to Don Dokken's. I'm not a huge fan of the band, though.

LOVE that song! Great groove to it, and one of my faves. I love most of the older Scorps tunes, but also really liked several of the later ones like "Wild Child", and of course, the whole new album.

"Rock You Like A Hurricane" is my favorite Scorpions song of all. Then from Humanity Hour 1 I like "Love Is War" the most. What a tune.

Can't stomach "Wind Of Change" any longer,tho...It was played ad-fucking-nauseam in Eastern Europe for more than 5 years.
Everytime I hear that whistle I know that God kills a kitten.

It was "No-One Like You" until I heard "Humanity". That's my winner now.

Same for me with that song. To me, "Winds Of Change" is to Scorpion as "November Rain" is to Guns N' Roses.

You know, during the making of that album Klaus Meine was sidelined w/throat problems which required vocal cord surgery, and another singer stepped in to fill his shoes temporarily in the studio. Some people believe his tracks still exist, but others say they were wiped clean when Klaus returned. I'm just trying to remember who that other singer was... Anyone know?

Back then, I think if Klaus couldn't have gotten it fired back up, Don Dokken would've been a good choice.

You know, now that we're talking about the Scorpions, I think your bud Steven Patrick has a bit of the Klaus Meine sound to his vocals.

They do have a similar style, for sure -- kind of a signature nasally tone on the higher notes. I never learned what the heck he was doing in Germany back then of all places, though.

Man, he'll get a kick out of that when I tell him... He's also had a few people tell him he reminds them of Robert Plant, which floors him. His two biggest vocal influences were Robert Plant and Ann Wilson from Heart.

I don't really hear much of either of those two in his singing. He's a far better singer than Plant, that's for sure.

I totally agree, even though those two were his biggest influences as a singer. Man, I'd pay real money to sound anything close to one of my bigger influences.

I've had people tell me I'm a good singer, but I don't hear it. I'm sure I'd sound better if I lost weight and I've had so many sinus problems over the years. Either of those doesn't really help at all.

Who?

Not Dokken is it?
