They would need to dump the Zeppelin tunes and just do their own stuff.

Dude! "The Night" is awesome! Love the acoustic start then when breaks it open with..."Neon concrete jungle, devour the weak the humble" :D Great cd.

BTW..."Nothin' At All" was off of their self titled '85 cd I think.

I haven't liked Heart's set list for the last 5 years. They have completely abandoned everything that made them great to concentrate on the early material and Led bloody Zeppelin covers.

Yep, i totally agree.

OK, so the early material is considered more hip these days, but to just simply ignore their 3 biggest selling records is just ludicrous. Why they can't mix it up a little is a mystery to me, would probably shift a few more tickets too.

I agree with Andrew 100%. Get back to the songs that made them one of the great bands of the 70's/80's. Stop trying to be a cover band. You only end up disappointing your fans.

I would stick to the Bad Animals cd and the self titled '86 cd. What monster hits those 2 produced.

I would pay to see that list with one hope, they would hop of on Misty Mountain
and replace it with If Looks Could Kill

I agree,. They need to get rid of the lz tunes and do things off brigade and bad animals.
especially who will you run to.,
I also recall they recorded a song called allies that Jon cain wrote.

That's because the Captiol years ("Heart", "Bad Animals", "Brigade", etc.) are NOT who Heart is. They were trying to fit in with MTv, etc. Granted, they had a lot of hits with those, but that's not who Heart EVER was. Zep and their old stuff has always been who they were, even when they were playing clubs. Heart is Dreamboat Annie, Love Alive, Barracuda, not These Dreams, All I Wanna Do Is Make Love to You. Most of those were written by outside writers. Heart always wrote their own tunes until that period and they've always, somewhat regretted "selling out".

They need to do the stuff that made them in the first place (Crazy on You, Barracuda, Magic Man, etc.). If they're out there playing stuff they didn't write and stuff that sounds quite dated now, THEN they're being a cover band.

Wow Andrew! You said exactly what's on my mind! Those three albums ROCKED! Desire Walks On (1993) wasn't bad either.

Here is my ideal Heart set list:

Crazy on You
If Looks Could Kill
There's the Girl
Allies
Never
These Dreams
What About Love
Wild Child
The Wolf
Black on Black II
Desire Walks On
Secrets
Who Will You Run To
Alone
All I Wanna Do Is Make Love to You
Tall, Dark Handsome Stranger
Barracuda
Magic Man
Will You Be There (In the Morning)

This will never happen, but I can dream!

I'm sure they haven't played a anything like this since the Brigade tour. Unfortunately I missed out on that one - wasn't around at the time.

Sure it was.... they stepped away from their early sound, but who hasn't - JOURNEY??? - and they have been less commercial in recent years, but they also sold a shitload of records during the 80s/90s.

Even on Passionworks (CBS 82) they were becoming more commercial.

PS. As much as I love Heart - All I Wanna Do is one of the worst songs in recorded music history.

Is it just me or has Cain written hits for damn near everyone in the pop rock industry?

He is one of the great songwriters of the Rock world.

Back in the late 80's early 90's I subscribed to those Journey Force papers, and they had a contest to be able to win one of the coats that Jonathan Cain wore on the Raised On Radio tour. The question had to do with songs that Cain had written for other performers. I was one of only 5 people who knew the answers to all of the questions asked. They then had a drawing to pick the winner of the coat. I did not win, but I was supposed to get some Frontiers pin or something like that as a consolation prize, but they never sent me the damn thing.

Anyway, yeah, Cain's written a lot of songs for other performers.

Agree 100%.

Having heard recent interviews w/ Ann and Nancy, I think they're almost embarrased by most of their mid 80's output, as they feel they sold out. That ship has sailed for those gals!
Personally, I don't see how one can gripe about a set list w. Crazy on you, Barracuda, Bebe Le Strange, Dog and Butterfly, Even it up, Magic Man, Love Alive and kick it out. That's a KICK ASS set list/. Sorry guys, but THESE are the songs that "made them great". Not disposable crap like "Nothin at All" and "Never"-( Hell, they even added in some of the 80's smaltz to the set list , like "alone" and " These Dreams", so they didn't completely abandon the 80's)
And they've always had a Zepplin fettish- they recorded ROCK AND ROLL for their Greatest Hits Live in the 70's, and the LoveMongers did Battle of Evermore on the SINGLES soundtrack.

AMEN!! Mick Jones worst song EVER!!!

It's not like Heart couldn't or isn't going to freshen that up for a multi billed tour.

At least they do an encore.

Why does Bon Jovi do 3 - 5 covers? Cause they are bored of their own material! And if that's the case...pack it in already :)
