So we must all have some artist that we love that many others of us here probably have never even heard of. So post arsit that you want to introduce to us.

The first fella is Jesse Malin, this is him singing a duet with Springsteen from last year
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlmBCrBJokA

I first saw him when he was supporting Ian Hunter (Mott The Hoople - LEGEND!!!)

And the second isnt the best quality (ill upload an actual song later on when ive more time). His name is Mark Free (now called Marcie Free)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHqeB-ABrKw&feature=user

This is from the Gods show in 1994 (My dad played on the same bill)

Right, now your turn.

I'll play!

Allow me to introduce to you The Bridies

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRoPuCCp ... re=related

Acouple of hot rish Lasses (one whom is a good friend of mine) who play traditional Irish music with a bit of a twist. I think they come in at aroun the two minute mark of the video (A clip on the Milwaukee Irish Fest)

AND

Cold Truth, from Nashville TN

http://coldtruth.net/enter.swf

Click on "music" and check out a really good southern band!
(Ripper, I think you'll definitely dig these guys!)

I enjoyed that one. Funny how much he resembles Bruce.

One word - Bonrud! Kick-ass album, one of the few in my collection I listen to, start to finish. Check out Date With Destiny, Desperate Heart.

Seem to remember Paul used to post on Backtalk once in awhile - wonder what they're up to - wish they'd release another album!

Dude, you need to play catch up. Both The Human Equation and 01011001 are outstanding. 01011001 is over the edge brilliant though, amazing singers and musicians and stellar song writing. You are in for extreme aural pleasure...(that's aural)! :D

Primal Fear are amazing. New Religion was an outstanding album with Ralf Scheepers sounding so much like Rob Halford did in his prime. :D

FLICKERSTICK

You may have heard of them. Why these guys never made it big is beyond me. Their first album, Welcoming Home the Astronauts, was very melodic, yet edged modern. Lead singer has a tremendous voice. Great emotion and vibrato.

The following link will open your iTunes program and take you right to the album with sample tracks.

Recommended tracks:

Smile
Sorry Wrong Trajectory

Execution by Christmas Lights
Lift

Allow me to introduce you to ~ Olive:

I never heard of this group, until I had Digital Cable...the song "Smile" is what grabbed me...went out and bought their CD after I heard it......
I can't find it on YouTube, so here's:

"Speak To Me": from the same CD:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKBI0zCEV_s

It's "Electronica" / "Trip-Hop", but it's very sexy....not "cold".

Ruth-Ann, the Vocalist, also does vox-work for Enigma....enjoy! 8)

Seventh Key, featuring bassist/vocalist Billy Greer of Kansas and Mike Slamer, former guitarist of Streets (80s arena-rock band featuring Steve Walsh of Kansas). Greer was also the bassist in Streets and is currently the best vocalist in Kansas, though he handles few lead vocal chores in that band.

Here's probably my favorite newer prog metal band...Redemption, featuring Nick Van Dyk, guitarist extraordinaire (also plays bass and keys) and Ray Alder (Fates Warning). Alder has an incredible voice and has been the vocalist on the last two Redemption albums. They had another singer on the first album, which was also pretty good.
