"Up From the Ashes" is the best post-"Back for the Attack" Dokken album that Dokken never did. It may be Don's solo album but it sounds just like Dokken and even the cover art is Dokken-like.

I love that album,,,,,, The opened "Crash & burn" is kick ass,,, with great into,,, rocking riffs and awsome solo,,,,,

It wasnt meant as a Don Dokken solo . It was more because of the legal battles between some members over the name "Dokken".
And since Don didnt have the full authorization to use it, he simply went with his own name "Don Dokken" .
