I'm making my annual trek this weekend to see Jim Peterik's AWESOME show. Great lineup and a cool shout of gratitude to our very own Andrew McNeice. Is anyone from here going? Here's the blurb off Jim's website:

World Stage 08 promises to be the most diverse and rocking show yet. On Feb 16 at 8pm I am hosting the Eighth Annual World Stage Concert
this year held at the beautiful McAninch Art Center at the College of DuPage.

Joining me this year will be The Ides Of March, Don Barnes of 38 Special, Toby Hitchcock of Pride Of Lions, Joe Lynn Turner of Rainbow
and Deep Purple, Lisa McClowry, Jimi Jamison formerly of Survivor, Anthony Gomes, Jazz great Nick Colione, Joel Hoekstra and Lobster Newberg. The World Stage Band is Ed Breckenfeld on drums, Mike Aquino and Joel Hoekstra on guitar, Christian Cullen and Scott May on keyboards, The Ides Of March brass- John Larson and Chuck Soumar on trumpet, Dave Stahlberg on trombone and Bob Bergland on sax.

Special guest reed specialist Steve Eisen will also join us for the premier of some new smooth jazz from my upcoming album. Material on the show will span from the rock classics to brand new songs hot off the press. Thom Griffin will add his unique talents on background vocals and an occasional star turn. Once again visuals will be supplied by Terry Becker.

As you can tell I am totally stoked about this show and can't wait for the "Night of the World Stage"

I had an amazing time at the Melodic Rock Fest in South Bend, IN. The spirit in the house was intense with amazing sets by the likes of Kevin Chalfant and Jeff Scott Soto. Also some amazing emerging groups from the area and overseas. The band Scrap Metal took the stage blew everyones mind.

Here are some photos from that magic night taken by Monique Larroux. It was a great pleasure being reunited with Jimi Jamison to play Eye Of The Tiger once again. Thanks to Andrew Mcneice and everyone who donated their time in the name of great melodic rock.

Dan, is this the same show you saw Rik Emmett at last year?

I like how Jim and Eric have mentioned how much fun they had at MRfest. You could tell they were having a blast up there all performing together. :D

Yeah, like I need that worthless shit. Jimi is fine, but he is just a singer, nothing special. You enjoy your little show. Meanwhile I will be all over Perrydise via PM, watching the 500.
