Americans Rank Top 10 Presidents Of All Time

Postby Enigma869 » Mon Feb 18, 2008 6:24 am

This list lost ALL credibility with me when I saw W. ranked 10th! Given the guy has an approval rating of about 25, I'd like to know if they asked anyone outside of Texas! Of course, if you read the story, they also asked Americans to rank the worst president our country has had since WWII, and Bush won that vote, in a landslide, so go figure! We Americans are either very fucked up or very uneducated, if we think this jackass is the 10th best president, EVER!

I'd like to see the same poll taken ten years from now when we're still trying to clean up his mess.

And there ya go. If you asked these same people who was the greatest actor of all time they'd say it was whoever is playing the latest version of Batman.

Right. Ask any 16-year-old who the best singer of all time is, and they'll tell you it's Timberlake or something.

There must be something in the water in Texas. Between W. with his "Nuke Lu Lar" and Clemens with "Misremember", I'm beginning to think that hot Texas sun is taking its toll on brain cells

10th? Who were they polling - the Bush and Cheney families? G.W. is dead last on my list. I don't even think he should be on any list except a list of fucking traitors of the USA.

I'm no big fan of President Bush but that's just a really dumb thing to say. I feel pretty strongly against some of the things that Jimmy Carter has done over the last few years, such as sucking up to foreign dictators, but I stop way short of calling the guy a traitor.

I thought Reagan was a great president, but it's tough to argue with Lincoln being number one. The guy abolished slavery, among many other accomplishments as president. As far as Clinton is concerned...he was a VERY good president who presided over the most prosperous times this country has ever seen! Who cares if the guy couldn't keep his dong in his pants. It had no impact on my life!

He's the biggest traitor in the history of our country.

He has ran the national debt through the ceiling and bankrupted our country. We'll be lucky if the Chinese don't own everything we have in a few years. Even the bogus war in Iraq is being financed by the Chinese in the form of national debt - and we WILL have to pay it back.

How many Americans do you know who are responsible for the deaths of 4,000 Amercian soldiers and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi citizens? There is only one that I know of: George W. Bush. That makes him the biggest traitor in the history of the USA if you ask me. He makes Benedict Arnold look like a hero.

Are you sure this poll wasn't for the top 10 biggest spending Presidents in history? In that case, George W. Bush would place #1:

How many were killed in Viet Nam? 58k Americans, 3-4 million Vietnamese?
Today pales in comparison. Lyndon B. Johnson escalated that war to benefit his own interests. And he was Dem.

I think you're delusional if you really believe that history is going to view this guy more favorably than the people he has served. I've already heard presidential historians flatly say that when the history is written, W. will not be favorably viewed! The guy inherited a surplus, and turned it into the biggest nation deficit we've ever had! The housing market has completely crashed on his watch (although I don't blame all of that on him, as there were MANY other factors, such as personal responsiblity). We have the absolutely HIGHEST gas prices our country has EVER seen! And that's before I even mention that he invaded and occupied a country, that he had ZERO business being in!

For all of the galvanizing moments what W. was given credit for, immediately following 9/11, he has undone it all, a hundred fold! Not to mention, the guy is a complete buffoon, and mispronounces more words than most 3rd graders! I hope to god that our country never has someone this inarticulate serving in the corner office again, in my lifetime, because it's a complete embarrassment! I never again want to feel like I'm more intelligent than the President of The United States of America, because it's simply not the way that things are supposed to be!

"Misremember" is actually grammatically sound. Thank you to Jim Rome for pointing this out after the Clemons confessions, err, testimony.

Uh...Yeah..a budget surplus and a national deficit is talking about 2 completely different things for one. The budget surplus was courtesy of Clinton's overtaxing, and was used for tax cuts that helped end the recession that began in Q4-2000 more quickly than it otherwise would have. The National DEBT (this is not the budget) is not higher per capita based on GDP. It was 6 trillion before this century even began....and it is largely comprised of money we owe each other and money not paid back to us by others.

Enigma869 wrote: We have the absolutely HIGHEST gas prices our country has EVER seen!

About the same or slightly lower than in the late 70's (when adjusted for inflation...which is important John)

Enigma869 wrote: And that's before I even mention that he invaded and occupied a country, that he had ZERO business being in!

Bungled after the overthrow...yes...zero business being in is another story. Saddam not cannot re-constitute a WMD program or fund terriost groups like Hamas or Hezbollah. He is no longer a concern...and he was a concern. Khadafi was scared straight after the invasion as well. We have 38,000 troops in South Korea 50+ years later...perhps there is good reason to establish permanent bases in Iraq too. We've made a significant dent in Al Qaeda, and haven't been attacked again....which is the most important thing.

Maybe, especially with the aid of an earpiece, which he had in the last of the Kerry debates. How embarrassing, the POTUS being fed messages in a debate, via concealed earpiece.

I've seen those pics before, but wasn't that the first debate? The one where Bush was appallingly horrible? He did much better in the second debate where the audience was asking the questions.

I'd do that. I'd have Dean-O in my earpiece hollering out digs at my opponent. "Tell him to go fuck off and die" "DO IT"

No-one is going to remember Bush II with ANY fondness 20, 50, or 100 years in the future.

That distinction will belong to his father, whom history will judge most favorably.

Bush II is the worst elected official in the history of Western Civilization. The absolute worst. Everything he has touched has turned to shit.

I wasn't aware Bush ever took questions from an "audience". Don't foget that ALL his speeches in 2000 - once he had secured the party nomination - were in "town hall" format, with only registered Republicans being allowed admittance, and only pre-approved, pre-rehearsed questions were allowed to be asked. THAT was a fucking sham.

Haha, they didn't stop there. The Administration does Q+A with the Military and Shrub all the time when he visits Iraq. What's the soldier going to do, ask him "why in the fuck are we here retard?"
