Ugh! I'm jealous... I moved North from Florida...dang, I miss the beach...used to live near it and went almost daily....went diving....also kayaked on the water most days....sure there are rivers now where I'm at but I have to wait till it warms up...and it's not the same as the ocean. ..I miss it.....gotta get back soon.

you should come back home. I live in south georgia right now with my job but only a short drive to Panama City, which is where I am in this pic. Wind was a little chilly but the beer kept me in a warm cocoon...

I lived in the Atlanta area for a long time...used to go to Florida a lot, then lived there the last 3 years and traveled back to Georgia many times, so I may have passed you on the road at some point..who knows  Yep, been to the panhandle..always stayed in the Ft. Walton Beach area, though..not right in Panama City. The water in that area in the summer has terrific coloring...some aquas and turquoise like you see in the Caribbean. Glad you had a good time..nice pic, thanks for posting it and sharing the warmth. 8)

Ok now I live in Texas and our beaches don't look a lot like yours. When I first looked at the picture I thought you must be awfully cold sitting outside like that in the snow. Then I realized that is your sand. That is beautiful. I difinitely need to get down there and see that. I bet the water is simply beautiful too!

it will clear the mind. Its almost like temporarily leaving reality. By the way, Melbourne Beach is a beautiful area. Ive had a lot of fun over the years around there, closer to the Cocoa Beach area, although the whole place is great! Lord knows how many drinks Ive had in the past on that pier at Cocoa!!!

No, Ive been away from Gainesville for a while although I still spend quite a bit of my free time there. I have lots of friends and family all over the state, especially around Gainesville. I lived in Orlando since the 90's until a couple years ago when this place I work for offered me a promotion in South Georgia. Gave me a cool relocation package also!!! Born and raised in Miami though...I kind of like living in Georgia-there are some crazy bastards around here and I love to party with them!

Me too-lots of family down there still! I grew up in South Miami near Coral Gables just a few blocks from the Biltmore Hotel. I went to South Miami Senior High(Home of the Cobras), 1st job was a little grocery market at the corner of Red Rd/Bird Rd bagging groceries and stocking shelves! My favorite 2 hangouts as a teen with a car were Key Biscayne and Matheson Hammock State Park, gosh how many times I skipped school and ended up at these 2 places.....left Miami and went to UF in 1986, then after college moved in with a friend in Orlando...

LOL! Good job. My life story would be longer than that post.
Grew up in Cutler Ridge about 2 miles away from the mall. Went to Southridge Senior High (class of 93)
for about 2 weeks until I got caught skipping school with some friends. Got sent to live with
relatives in hicksville (Lake Wales) and have stayed in same area the past 16 years. Loved
Miami growing up but now you couldnt pay me to move back there.

You werent too far from me in Miami. 8)

Um, the west coast definitely blows Florida's beaches away. We don't have all the fuckin sharks they do. We have whales, not sharks.
