It seems to be a Time3 sort of compilation from the Escape/ Frontiers era.
Here's the link:

Found this on the official website. However, this wasn't released by Journey independently.

Perry has NOTHING to do with this release.
The "Human Nostril" provides you with your favourite music, and you can't respect him? That's fine, your opinion is your opinion, no matter how wrong it is, and trust me it is, but you can never say Steve Perry lip synced, BUT, I can say that about your favourite Journey singer.

Dude, don't worry Cyndy will still like you put the pom poms and bo bos away.

If anyone looked, Don't Stop Believin'' is listed on Disc 1 twice, at # 1 and #12. That's kind of odd.

All this is is a combo pack of the re-released versions of Escape (with bonus tracks) and Evolution. You see this stuff all the time.

I'm sure it's the live versions found on the recent reissues.

Based on the tag line at the top of the cover, this is likely one in a series of releases for many bands.
Yup:

Okay - well if they're doing it with that many artists, okay then at least its not JUST Journey.
But still... there doesn't need to be any more Journey compilations. 3 is enough.
4 if you count the one that comes as 3 albums in one pack (
Infinity,
Escape and
Frontiers - I
think)
What next, the entire catalog released in ONE set with
different bonus tracks so you have to but it all again to get them?
(don't get any funny ideas, Perry

... you got me on the reissues. Not falling for that again. Don't be Pete Townshend! JUST give us the bonus stuff!)

Sorry to detract from your favorite Perry-bashing pasttime, but this project, as with all the reissue projects, comes from the record label. They repackage and reissue so they can make $$$. Because he cares about the final project, sometimes SP is involved after the project is underway, making sure that the final product isn't a piece of shit. We all busted our butts on the last round of reissues so that people who chose to purchase them would have something better than the product they had before. I'm sure you would much rather believe your conspiracy theory, but it is pure bull.

Nice spin that he "is involved after the project is underway."
So he IS involved, and my so-called "conspiracy theory" is proven in your post.
The timing's always immaculately calibrated, too, to right when Journey's releasing something.

Not all the time.

This barely even counts as a release, it's just Escape and Evolution packaged together for some reason. It won't even register on the radar anywhere, trust me.
I think these kind of releases are popular in Europe and Australia...I got a Corrs release like this with the Australian versions of The Best Of and Unplugged really cheap on half.com a few years ago (to get the bullshit fucking bonus tracks), but I think it might be a new idea for the States. Either way, it really, REALLY doesn't matter in any way...to anyone.

I don't think Steve Perry has any concern about new Journey music overwriting the past. He knows, as we all know, that Journey will no longer sell records at any decent level again, period. They could be the best thing since sliced bread and they will not sell. That you think Steve Perry would have any interest in spending one moment thinking about sabatage is funny. Let's be real.

So this compilation is released on Feb.26 and Journey's new album sometime in May.Enough distance between them to even think of a "boycott" of some sorts.More, the complilation is thrown on the market by Legacy and the new Journey CD by...I don't even have a clue, but I don't think it's Legacy,is it?
These are different projects, different markets, apples and oranges. To connect SP to this move is ridiculous.
