OT: Hey Dean...

Is your girl Hillary going to rebound, or are you working on your concession speech to Barack? Ten straight losses can't be good for Mrs. Bill Clinton! I'm not a political expert but I've heard many who are, say that Hillary doesn't have much of a realistic shot, at this point (which I don't know if that's accurate or not). They've basically said that simply winning Ohio and Texas isn't enough, and that she would have to win both states by double digit margins (which probably isn't happening)! Let me know where your optimism meter is, for the Clinton camp! I've predicted all along that Obama would be the nominee, so I can't say that I'll be surprised if that comes to fruition. I also think Obabma wins the general election, fairly easily. I just can't imagine a 5'6", 71 year old guy ever being elected president, of this country! I would feel that way, even if it weren't coming on the heels of the Republican party (i.e. Bush) running our country into the ground!

Hear about this rumour? This would be hilarious to watch. Even though it would get that worthless John McCain, I'd still love to see it play out.

http://www.townhall.com/Columnists/Arms ... _real_ugly

The word on the street is that the Obama campaign and New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg have already met and devised an incredible plan if Clinton wins the nominee. Mayor Bloomberg would give nearly $1 billion to Obama's campaign after which Obama would bolt from the Democratic Party and run as an Independent candidate with king-maker Bloomberg as his running mate. The Obama campaign realizes that Obama is too new at this game and doesn't have the political weight of the Clintons to bring in the true heavy-hitters of the party's hierarchy. So, according to sources it was Bloomberg himself who suggested this cunning strategy. It's mind boggling that the Clintons are willing to destroy the entire Democratic Party, and potentially in the process lose the White House and seats in Congress, for their own selfish thirst for power and glory.

Personally, I think she is toast. I am happy with Obama.

She can win TX, OH and PA and it would only give her a shot, and a long one too.

McCain is in trouble, and now with this whole affair/favors/woman/scandal thing happening, who knows?

I just hope W goes on the road for McCain..I will enjoy the laughs immensely. I also want to know when the president is going to speak in convention week. Maybe Tuesday morning at 10am?

Well, Bush has done that already with the Republican party.

Thank You sir.

I have to tell you...If I were a poltical strategist working for McCain, I would distance myself, AS FAR AS POSSIBLE, from W.! Who the hell wants a lame duck president, with the lowest approval rating, in the history of our country, stumping for him on the campaign trail? Hell, I would think that at this point, an endorsement from W. would be reason enough for people not to vote for Mr. Geriatric!

Well seeing as how I said it was a rumour in my original post, I don't see how you can criticize it as having no substance. I just stated that it'd be hilarious to see even though it'd give that fake conservative the White House. Cool how you skipped over my post and was able to quote part of it.

John, I have got to say, you're criticism of McCain is harsh. I have to give it up for him. I respect the living Hell out of him. He is an absolute stalwart in public service. This guy is a war hero. Hell, he lived in a tiger cage for 6 years! You won't see the Dems swift boat him. Hell, the GOP, Bush and his scum school of people swift boated him in 1999. Despicable. How can Rove got a cocaine absent National Guard pilot to smear a POW is beyond me. I hope Rove fall dead due to stroke, today.

John McCain, while old and slow, has my utmost respect.

Well maybe they could if McCain had taken his own 8mm camera to videotape his situation.
What you will see is the Dems along with the liberal media turn on their beloved "maverick" and question his mental stability due to age. Save this post Dean. It's coming, I guarantee it.

Sorry, but I don't think there is even a hint of the Bradley effect on Obama. This guy just doesn't seem he can be stopped. However, you speaking on the Bradly effect as in it's a good thing tell me something.

Don't know yet. If the NY Times in fact printed this and there is no evidence, then there is a serious problem. Please though, save your Hannity paranoia.

Your party is scum. They are so much dirtier than the Dems. Hell, what the NY Times allegedly did, Fox News does in fact do, nightly.

Actually Dean, if you read my post, I didn't say anything remotely "harsh" about McCain. I actually agree with you, 100%, that he is a man of integrity. I also agree with your assertion that both his war record and public service record are honorable. All I said about the guy was that he was old (which if elected, he would easily be the oldest guy ever elected) and that he was vertically challenged (which at 5'6" is tough to argue). While I realize the height thing shouldn't matter, even a little, I'm someone who doesn't believe that it's just a coincidence that every guy we've elected to the corner office in the past 30 years has been over 6 foot tall! I'll tell you one thing...I'd take McCain over W. ANY day!

Well, I dont want to stir up arguments with a fellow conservatives but :D - I really suggest that all conservatives get behind McCain.

Have you seen Obama's economic plan which he announced a week ago? Well, he's no President Clinton- Clinton cut capital gains taxes, and worked to reduce the deficit with the republican congress. By contrast, Obama has called for a thirteen percent increase in the capital gains tax taking rates back to what they were in the 1970's. Start sining a funeral dirge for small to medium sized businesses - the USA's biggest employer. And thats the first bit of substance we've seen from this highly decent, but very left wing man. What more's to come?

If he gets elected you'll find out exactly how much misery real big goverment can cause - believe me it aint been seen recently. And trust me you dont want to be the conservative running around in 2011 bragging that Obama won cause you didnt vote for McCain. Mark my words

If we conservatives need something to feel positive about (and believe me I disagree with all sorts of things McCains done in the past few years), but hes the only one running whose ever bothered to take an oath to promise to die for his country if it came down to it (and that matters big time) understands the sudden threat that Russia or China might become (which is why almost every living Republican secretary of state since Dulles endorsed him). Hes also been principled enough to oppose things like ethanol subsidies in Iowa (even though he would have benifitted politically), the statist bail out of Michigan which Rommey proposed (which lost him that state) and really has opposed pork barrel spending.

Now please excuse me, I need to find some guys from the other side to go bash :D

The height issue is important. Could you imagine a very small POTUS at the G8 conference taking pics with Putin, Harper, Fukuda and Sarkozy?

Funny how conservatives are expected to back McCain when McCain has stabbed conservatives in the back for years. No thanks.

Better to have a Marxist with a D by his name rather than a liberal with an R by it. Conservatives can then call out the socialists for what they are.

Hillary's Universal health care plan went down in a squeaker in the Senate 99-0. I don't believe Obama's plan will have a snowballs chance in hell either. They just have to be called out.

Well I guess that's where we differ. I'll just as soon call out a liberal Republican as a liberal Democrat, they're both equally dangerous. "Liberalism is a slow road to tyranny"- the great Mark Levin. :D

Obama especially will be a fiscal disaster, even worse than Bush has been. They talk about taxing the rich but they fail to mention that many of those considered "rich" are small business owners who report their company's income as their own, which would put them in that "rich" bracket even though they don't really belong there. Big disaster.

Who said I'm worrying about my taxes? I'm not a small business owner nor do I fall into the "richest 2%". What I am worrying about is a major Lib like Obama screwing the economy up even worse than it already is, which will cause MORE sick, dying, and dirt poor people. Quit ascribing motives to me and using your mouth for spewing out Dem talking points that don't apply to me in the slightest.

Impossible!

8 years of failed fiscal and monetary policy from the Hayseed shit-for-brains rotting in the white house is MORE than enough for this country.

Frankly, A piss drunk David Hasselhoff as POTUS and a coked up Steven Adler as Fed Chair would be a MASSIVE improvement over Hayseed Dubya.

If you don't think Obama could do worse than Bush, you're more gullible than I thought. I'm no fan of Bush's economic policies at all, other than marginally cutting taxes, but it could be much worse.

No, but I'm the only one who brought up taxes, so I assumed you were responding to my post. Besides that, wanting lower taxes doesn't in the least make anyone "close minded" or selfish. Most real conservatives want people to be able to keep more of their own money, because that also allows you to give more to charity, help someone in need, donate to a good cause, etc., rather than letting the government keep it since they're the most ineffectual managers of money there could possibly be.
