While I know it's a LONG shot, I have to admit that Bobby Knight resigning and Indiana buying out Kelvin Sampson's contract in such a short period of time has certainly garnered my attention. Especially since an "anonymous donor" paid $550,000 of the $750,000 buyout. It would be fitting if he went back, coached a few years and retired where he rightfully should. I love that dude. 8)

Well, I can tell you that I thought the same thing when the story of Sampson resigning broke. As for Knight...I acknowledge the guy is a GREAT coach. I give the guy a tremendous amount of credit for graduating his players, over the years. That said, he's a complete buffoon of a human being!

Those illegally recruited, punk kids would be in for "shock and awe" if Bobby was named their new coach. They'd learn something about team play, dedication, perfectionism and STUDYING!!!

Not Happening.

My deepest concern is they open the checkbook for Tony Bennett.

What the hell? The guy is a great coach. He's a jerk but he actually cares about the players, has never even been accused of recruiting violations that I'm aware of, and helps out his guys to the best of his ability after their college days are over.
