This is the first time I heard it. Probably the least Journey sounding tune with Perry at vocals. What you think?

Awesome song, totally rocks, and sounds perfectly 'Journey' to me.

That other bonus track was the non-Journey sounding one. Blech!

I LOVED this tune. I could not BELIEVE that it wasn't on the US album. TBF was so damned ballad heavy, this song could've helped the album. Wiwh they woulda left off the reggae tune- blech.

Noooo, what are you talking about!? This song is very much Journey sounding. Like everybody said, it should have been included in the original release. Then maybe people wouldn't complain TBF was too ballad-heavy.

I used to really hate the reggae tune...

...but the more I listen to it and the more I think about it, the more I like it.

It's just a fun little song with no serious message, the band's enjoying themselves and doing something a little outside of the lines. I like it when bands experiment, or loosen everything up a bit with something way out in left field.

Nothing like a reggae number to lighten the mood after a CD jam-packed with many slow, dense, somber tunes.

But when ya coulda had "I can see it in your eyes" what the hell do you want with THAT song (or just the rain or trial by fire for that matter- all three of those suck).

I agree though man, put ICSIIYE on the album. It's a great song, any Journey song with an edge gets two thumbs-up from me.

I think the album could've done without "Don't Be Down On Me Baby," "It's Just The Rain," "Trial by Fire," "When I Think Of You," and "Forever in Blue."

Note: I actually really like FIB, and I know all about the message behind WITOY, I just don't like the song and think it adds more "plod" to the album.

I love "I can see it in your eyes" but I wouldn't get rid of that one........Take out "Colors of the spirit" instead.

3 of those were okay to me but "just the rain" and "tbf" were terrible, plodding Journey songs. It didn't matter that they were slow, they just didn't go ANYWHERE. I'd have rather had ANY of Augeri's slow songs (yup THAT ONE TOO!) than either of those. They weren't even good enough to be FTLOSM tracks. Just kind of unfinished, demoey tunes. As far as slow songs there "easy to fall" was a masterpiece. Too bad it ripped the chords off from Sweet and Simple, but hey, if ya can't rip yerself off, who can ya rip off?

And Deb- yeah, that one WAS kind of droopy... (COTS)
But Just the Rain?? What's to like? I remember John Lennon once saying to use the word "Just" is filler. It means nothing. I agree, but that song just plods....

I agree with the point that "Easy to Fall" is great.

Top Journey Ballads:

1. Faithfully
2. Easy to Fall
3. When You Love a Woman
4. Beyond the Clouds
5. Happy to Give

I have to agree with you on Its Just the Rain. You can really feel his pain in this song, and feel the meaning behind it. Although it is very slow paced, Its the only way to really get the meaning across of just how unfair and hurtful love can be. Brilliant if you ask me. I also love TBF, and the 2 go well being placed back to back. Another song where you can just get absolutely lost in the lyrics, if that makes any sense. Very soulful, which is one of the best things Perry brings to the table.
