Journey concerts in Chile

I'm sure this vid's been posted somewhere on here, but it's vertually imposible for me to find it anywhere on this forum due to the extremely active postings here. I've never seen a board this active ever before.

At any rate, I watched a vid today of Journey in Chile and in this one, Arnel's back to how I remember him back in the AMO Band days in Cal Jams in the late 80's. I'm guessing that this video was shot a concert or two after the initial concert. Because in this vid, he seems to be in more command of his vocals, plus stage work is better then some of the other footage I've seen. Watching this video is the closest I've seen to how Arnel used to perform in AMO. I think it's great and it looks as though the fans who where there also think so as well. The song and performance I'm talking about is Open Arms in this video clip. I think the first song was done a different night because the clothing Arnel is wearing changes between songs.

One thing that strikes me is how the piano has a lead in intro. It reminds me of how Air Supply did this exact thing during the 95' concerts in China. I wonder if the new material from Journey will be more Air Supply style, plus I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Journey got a 20 piece or so string group to play along with them like Air Supply did in 95' as well.

I just want to sort of get an idea what's to come with Journey based on what I've seen so far from their Chile concerts.

PLEASE, Lord, NO. Don't even bring that up, man.

I love you and everything but Neal's gonna troll the board for ideas one day, see this and get a lightbulb go on in that fuzzy little head of his, and we'll be subjected to TBF Mach 2.

Journey and Air Supply should never be spoken of in the same sentence. One is a rock band, and the other.... well, who knows what the other is?

Journey is a band that likes to rock, whilst Air Supply is a band that likes the cock.

I do have to admit that I'm an Air Supply fan though...I guess it's kinda like hooking up with a fat chick...It's all fun and games until your friends find out!

Did anyone else notice that Neal seemed to borrow from the JSS-style wardrobe in that video?

What can a musician get from trolling in a message board like melodic rock where most posters are negative? LOL

Nope, that's all the first concert. Only 2 concerts so far, and the second one (Santiago) was a pretty bare stage. Looks like Arnel just pulled a Rod Stewart and ran backstage and changed clothes during the instrumental break.

Does anyone know if there is a full length DVD video of modest quality of the Journey show in Santiago? Thanks.

Well, let's face some facts, there is ALOT of negativity posted on this site, but to be honest, I don't think it's "real" negativity. For some reason playing the bashing game is fun, I join in from time to time as well. But I'm going to Vegas, going to buy the new cd, etc, etc, too! :) lol..

So Pissindrum, relax, don't take anything on this board too serious, there's alot more Journey love around here than you realize. ;)

   Yeah, I've also heard that fat chicks are great having sex with because they put their all into it because they feel so lucky to have actually found someone to do it with, plus they think that it may very well be their last time. Me personally, I'm not into screwing what appears to be a human sized twinkie in the hole where they pumped in the creamy filling. But then again, there are exceptions and I've seen them, a chick with a beautiful face and hygenically sound, that's a plus. Some guys are ass men, leg men, I'm a face and personal hygene man.

About the concert, yeah, he probably did the clothing change during the into. I think that Journey has pretty much got their ideas in order already. I'm hesitant to think that they would go on here and get ideas, but hey, it's possible I guess.

And Air Supply isn't bad, I don't even think they are gay. I don't know them personally so I can't say for sure, but they've always struck me as loving women in a very mature way which is reflected in their music. I'm not ashamed to admit that Air Supply is one of my most favorite groups and has been for about 20 years now.
