Alright people...I know you're out in Vegas having a grand old time, but WE NEED SOME REPORTS!!! We want to hear some gossip, and details! Who got too drunk to attend? Who has stories of their trip there? Come on people!!! We're bored out here in cyberland!!!

I'll be brief...too drunk (still) to think. Ross came and partied with our group (42 people). Deen took pictures, answered questions, and seemed genuinely happy to see fans. Great dude!!! Jon took pics as well. Neal and Arnel weren't seen as far as I know. Arnel rocked the Thursday show. Neal's been in the business for 39 years and to see him stop on stage, put his guitar by his side, and give Arnel a hug during a song was really cool. Straight from a band member's mouth..."We're playing FOUR new songs tomorrow night." I'll be back with a full report when I can. I heard part (30 seconds) of one of the new songs. Jaw dropping vocals. Very Frontiers-era sounding. Partied with Frank Martinez, WIX, Maui Tom, T-TIME, , and a host of others. A seemless, drama-free rocking time between MR and Back Talk people. Just a bunch of fans having a great time that are lucky enough to still call an awesome band a relevant part of our lives. Our bar bill the first night was OVER a thousand dollars...for 7 people. Worth every penny of it. Great times, great people, great city and a great band. I'll let Rockindeano tell his story and experience. It's beyond words. Meeting Lula and Wyatt was awesome!!! Wyatt is the cutest kid ever!!! 8)

I thought the show was LAST night? I guess that would explain the lack of news or clips! I'm officially awarding the Dumbass of the evening award to myself tonight!!!

Well, they did a private gig for ReMax Thursday night, but tonight is the public gig that's supposed to be filmed for a DVD. So you were half right - one gig down, one to go.

VERY COOL. I saw the interaction between Neal and Arnel during the Chile show. Neal was VERY happy with the guy, whereas with Augeri, he'd do all he could to ignore him. Arnel sings the hell out of everything. He's the best choice they could've made. AWESOME.

No, he is not. Hugo, Chalfant or Jeremey were obvious better choices.

Chalfant is the only one of those three that I would take over Arnel.

Surprising considering how great Augeri's been said to be as a person. Why do you think there was bad blood there?

I like Chalfant, but as good as he is, his time for Journey was a few years ago. If you presume Arnel's voice will hold out for 8-10 years, Arnel will be the better long-term choice. I'd love to hear the Journey songs Chalfant says were recorded with him and Rolie in Journey circa 1994-95.

Hugo is a good singer, but really thin vocally when covering Perry. He can sing, is a good songwriter, but I don't think he would be a good fit for Journey.

As far as Jeremey, the guy can cover Perry, but I think Arnel has a lot more upside, being new to Journey, whereas Jeremey has been doing this for a while. Arnel is only going to get better as he becomes more comfortable with the songs, as opposed to Jeremey just having better musicians backing him.

Dan (Saint John) called me during Who's Crying Now. I think Deen was on lead vocals for that one. Good stuff. Thanks Dan.
