Any guesses....I wonder if the LABEL will really PUSH it this time?! It'll be interesting to see what happens over the next few months...TV appearances, interviews...etc.

"Saving Grace." It's a no-brainer. Everyone loves the power ballads.

I don't remember seeing anything about "Saving Grace". I thought the three new ones were Wildest Dreams, After All These Years, and Never Walk Away. Maybe I missed something?
If I had to guess, I'd say they put out After All These Years first, then Never Walk Away.

"Saving Grace" was an improper title some retard gave "Never Walk Away" on Youtube. That's my choice, then the ballad to follow.

Wildest Dreams seems like a likely spearhead of the album.

what are you smoking.
sounds like their going the reo speedwagon route
releasing it themselves through walmart, thats good for use
1 new cd, 1 dvd, 1 bonus cd 14.99.
i hope they go on the radio tour reo did, and hit all the old midwest radio stations.

Personally i cant seem them having a hit with any song off the new album. I would love it if they did, and this is the best time they could get one if they do but i cant see it happening. Most probably After All These Years would be the single, but i'd prefer it to be the Be Good To Yourself "soundalike".

I'd say The EAGLES did pretty damn well with their WalMart deal!
Again, let's wait and see what happens and more importantly, how they PROMOTE it!

I'd say "After all these Years" followed by a few rocker singles.

Um, I don't see them getting air play. They are popular for the classics. I really like "After all these years" but, it is very much like "Why can't this night go on forever" even using similar lyrics "precious moments" "laughter, tears, years"...and, even that song didn't make it on the radio.

Well, The Eagles new one has sold over 7 million copies according to Billboard and I think it would kick severe ass if Journey's new one turned half of those numbers.

Wildest Dreams is my choice....but they'll go with the ballad first I think.

Actually, it did. I was in my prime back then, baby! I used that (unsuccessfully) as background music for a few very unslick moves I put on some cute girls at parties back in high school.

Heck, look at the press release...
Do you thnk they are banking on the new material?
Hell no. Same old post-Perry Journey.
Always seeming affraid to jump off the "coat-tails" they've been riding.
The press release should be screaming of the new material, how great it is,
a return to the classic sound.
The disc of re-recorded stuff should've been mentioned
LAST, as a bonus to the package...
I Would NOT be surprised if THE first Single from this Package to go out to radio
and get airplay is
Don't Stop Believin'.

I agree with you about the GH re-record. They really should be pumping up how amazing these new songs are! I disagree about the single though...I think it'll be "After all these years". Who knows, but I really think they're going to have a successful run with that one.
On the other hand though...we ARE talking about the Journey camp, so who the hell knows what they'll do?

Never Walk Away should be the first one. That is a great great tune. Props to Jeremey for his contribution to that one. Catchy as fuck. Maybe release that one to AOR stations and simultaneously release All These Years to A/C.

I was pretty disappointed to read the press release and see that the first disc in the package is the re-records. I really wouldn't be surprised to see Carlitto's DSB scenario play out, sad as it sounds.

I have to agree, except that when I go to WalMart to buy dog food and laundry detergent I'll get to see Journey on the tv screens while I'm there. The jury's still out about whether I'll buy this or not. This will be the first time I'm not rushing to the store on the day a Journey album comes out since 1983. Definitely the end of an era for me.

Sadly, I think you're right. It'll be a miracle if I hear anything on the stations here.

That's the exact thought I had when
Generations was released. Two weeks after I got the disc, I was driving a vehicle with no CD player and had to resort to local classic rock radio. I was shocked when the DJ said "Journey recently released their newest blah blah blah blah, here's their new single 'The Place in Your Heart!'"
I about shat myself in glee and shock.

Wow, I just listened to "Never Walk Away". That might not be a bad choice. As for radio airplay, who cares? I don't remember when the last time was I bought a CD because I heard it on the radio. Radio is so 20th century.
