I remember going to ARF a couple years ago and his harmonica didnt work.. I wonder if anybody got a recording
of that.. that was pretty amusing.

i just find that very funny, JC with no keyboard and the song still sounds great.

God, it's still a great clip. I just can't believe it. It certainly sounds different without the piano, still jaw-dropping.

I don't remember a harmonica, but I do remember Friga having sound issues with his keyboard that night. It might of been during "Don't Stop Believin" or "Separate Ways". If ya still have the boot of the show, listen to those two songs to see if I am right.

How can a harmonica not work? I liked it when he took the trophy{or whatever that thing was} away

What happened was, the band left the stage and the Road Crew started unlplugging everything. But the Chileans demanded another encore. You could tell that Journey was totally unprepared for it. They had the announcers talking and behind them, you could see the band conversing over which song to do. Then it took forever to get it rolling because half the gear was unplugged. Arnel and I think Ross even made comments like "Hang on, we gotta get our stuff plugged back in"- I forget who it was. The band was TOTALLY not ready to play another encore. They thought they were done. Cain's piano didn't get plugged back in and I think that's why that version of the song was pretty 'by the seat of the pants'. Where his solo was supposed to be, was kind of chaotic. Pretty funny and it was cool that the audience demanded more. (I have the dvd, so that's how I know)
