Attention all Vegas concert goers

Just curious. I know how I felt being at the show and how I felt after the show. I thought I had just seen something great. To all the people who attended the show, do you still feel the same about the show after seeing and hearing some (or most ) of the footage? Either way. I know that youtube isn't the best quality.

It's WHY we go to concerts....so we can be there on nights like that...lightening in a bottle type night.

It's funny because you watch the youtube clips and you can just see it right back through your eyes. The energy was pumpin', and whenever I watch a clip I tell myself that I was there. It'll be hard to get over since it's plastered all over youtube. :? :? Who wants to get over it anyway?

For the record, the new songs just keep getting better and better with each click. Get ready for a monster album.

Dude...I'm wating for a fricken' schedule

That way I can choose which concerts to roll with you fellas at.

FUCK YEAH THAT SHOW WAS OFF THE CHAIN.
They killed it, and we killed back with all that yelling, singing, screamin', and illegal pictures and video. They doubled their effort, and we gave right back. I see the Youtubes and on most of them, all I can think of...great sound but the view was much better live and that I was closer to the stage.

It was the best concert I've seen in a long time. The venue had nice comfy seats, but nobody used them. Can't wait for the next show I can go to. Arnel is the real deal. I just hope his voice can withstand that catalog. Journey rocks, again!

That's a good question T... but a silly one. If it had been horrible and miserable, would we have rocked the afterparty pumped on post-concert adrenaline until 6am?? Would we have been sans voices the next day? And what about those crazy fits of joy and old fans turned on again (you know who you are) who walked out screaming "They're back, they're fucking back!", would we have had those? ...I think not, sir.

The show was great! Youtubes don't do it justice, esp. when most are done from a little camera with a speaker the size of a fingertip, lol. So yes I feel the same about it. We had a GREAT time 8)

My voice is still a little shot, lol! Still a little higher than usual here at work today, my co-workers noticed, lol, but at least nowhere near as high & squeeky as Sunday, I sounded like Minnie Mouse

I comb the internet 3 x a day now waiting to make my plans for the next trip. Where is the tour schedule?

It was a historical moment in the band's history, and having them filming that night made it even more special. A great show, and can't wait to re-live it thru the DVD in June! I don't like to critique a band by YouTube clips, because they bring out all the flaws that no one in the show notices, and they lose all the magic.

I completely agree, been there done that. I remember back in the 80's after singing some songs with Arnel & AMO Band back in the late 80's, I had the shows video taped by my friends, Arnels little brother, anyone who could work my movie camera and who I could trust wouldn't run off with it while I was up stage during the performance. Right after the shows, I'd go back and plug the JVC into the TV and watch the footage. I got the same feeling where I was reliving the nights just by watching the videos. And yes, it was absolutely incredible to me. Even after a number of years have past, I still get the same feeling when I watch the videos. A few months ago, I convered the footage onto DVD and it turned out absolutely superb. As I was converting the videos, I again felt that same absolute incredible feeling that I once did so many years ago.

But it really also depends on if you really love Journey and Arnel. If a person doesn't care for either or, they won't get a thing from watching the videos.

you guys stayed up until 6? why the hell did we go to bed at 3? shoot, when I passed you at 3ish going to the room, I figured you all where done.

T- yes it was awesome and still is in my mind. The only thing if being picky was he was a bit off on faithfully or should I say maybe he sang it a bit different than I am use to, but that song is a challenge vocally in many parts.

But yes it was a killer concert, don't let the spoilers tell you different.

6AM is an understatement, haha, esp when you have to get up at 9 to catch a flight! I still think the only reason Gayle had a little left in the tank was because of all of that Mayonnaise she ate!! hahaha

Card-carrying Augerihead here, but...

The show was inspiring. Arnel has a huge voice and is so damned excited to be fronting Journey that you just can't help but love the guy. The rest of the guys looked and sounded great too; they were clearly into it.

And the new songs sounded GOOD live; one time through and they were already grabbing you.

So, it was imperfect in some places. Journey has a huge, complex, demanding back catalog of songs AP has to learn and his timing was off a few places and some of lyrics weren't quite right. You want perfect, sit home and listen to CDs.

The energy from the anticipation before the show, the show itself, the fan shenanigans, the band member sightings...it'll be powering me for weeks. I wouldn't have missed it for anything.
