Off that list? "Welcome to the Jungle". However, you should have had "More Than a Feeling" by Boston on there as well.

You've got my vote, too! Unbelievable intro to that band.

No...this is the answer. Clear winner. I can't believe we're even discussing the others.

Huge hit, but so much more CHEESY, more trite than Good Times, Bad Times.

That is true, Red - but when has cheesy music ever been a problem on this board?

Yeah, especially coming from Augeri's personal champion?

For the record- I actually voted for WTTJ/GNR!! I actually voted against my favorite song by my favorite band. That's how freakin' unbiased I am, people....

Yeah, especially coming from Augeri's personal champion?

I'm mislabeled here by so many.
Because I prefer the Augeri vocals overall does not mean I'm singer-centric enough in my listening preferences to be his personal champion.

Haha it's all good man, I understand. Just thought I'd pick on you a bit.

Some people around here think I'm George Tickner's personal champion. 8)

Though I am Public Enemy #1 in loondom, I am objective enough to be able to rank what many call perry's pet album and a perry solo album, ROR as at LEAST #1a (Generations) on my list.

At LEAST I can seperate what are the mountains of evidence of his unsavoryness as a bandmate from the actual work he did.

Agreed my man... so you mean there really are Journey fans that can't see past a band member's personal discrepancies enough to enjoy music? I'm shocked!!

Nice one, my British friend! :D

BTW- I voted for VH, but I would've loved to have seen DEUCE from the first KISS album on that list...

The way they let JSS (bandmate) go is pretty unsavory to me......fact.

But you know nothing about it other than board speculation.
JSS hasn't spoken on it, the band said they were going in a different direction.
And your bias shows in bringing that up but passing over the augeri thing.

That's nothing more or less than what perry did pink-slipping RV and SS during ROR, which I do not hold against perry. Firing them was proactive and forthright UNlike his other documented, systematic acts of sabotage.

Exactly, neither one us knows what fully has gone on or goes on inside this band.......only what we see and hear. We can dance in circles for days on this issue and you know it JoePa and neither one of us is going to change the others mind.

Sure I'm biased, I liked JSS fronting Journey more than Augeri........just my preference. The way they dropped Augeri wasn't any better.

Business, not personal.

Don't YOU take this personal, because you are a down-to-earth lady and I haven't seen you do this, but isn't it one of the precepts of worshiping at the altar of perry to gloat about his dazzling business accumen and how it allowed him laugh all the way to the bank at Journey's expense for years?
That was business.
