Same. I despise it when bands only release a portion of a show on a DVD. I would put money that this means that at the very least Faith In The Heartland and the two Deen tracks don't see the light of day. Probably Escape, too. Shame, really.

I'm pretty sure they'll dump 'Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin', needs some work (Arnel's scattin' and audience participation)...not sure I was diggin' Cain's harmonica solo either.

I just realized that there could potentially be FOUR separate versions of "Be Good To Yourself" on this album.... WOW....

Do the math.

Well, getting rid of Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin' wouldn't really bother me. I would actually be okay with some of the more well-known songs getting dropped so that we CAN have FITH, After The Fall and Mother, Father. But I don't think that'll be the case.

from nick,

where does it mention that it is only 60 minutes, i did not see that in the press release, becasue it sucks if this is true, only reason i would like the dvd is for some of the songs mentioned above

I guess Cain mentioned it in a radio interview today. Maybe as they're putting it together there will be enough good footage and they'll rethink this and decide to put the whole show. Or maybe just drop one or two songs.

Cain did indeed mention 60 minutes in the interview that I listened to this morning. Given the fact that this concert just happened a few days ago, and a DVD hasn't even been cut as of yet, it's probably not much more than a guestimate on his part, at this point! I definitely agree with the sentiment that it simply doesn't make much sense to cut tracks from the DVD, unless the performance was really dreadful!

Ugh, this is a terrible revelation, pun intended. Full show please. I don't need a companion dirty dozen live DVD to go with the remakes

I am not surprised that it will only be 60 minutes and not the whole show.
Then they can;t understand why people pay for and exchange bootlegs. at least you get the whole show.

This is why I think they'd only show 60 minutes...Think about it, they package it in with the two cd's for less than $20.00 (which is a kick-ass deal!) 6 months later, they sell the stand alone dvd to us hardcores and anyone else browsing the local stores for $14.99. It makes perfect sense to me. I wouldn't hesitate at a later date to plop down another $14.99 for a dvd with an extra 4 or 5 songs. I'm sure they'd include some bonus footage as well. To me, it's a win-win for them!

I would actually side with the band on this one...If it ain't happenin live, then they should reconsider releasing some of it....Also, aside from the 2001 DVD, has Journey EVER released a full show?

Toto did this twice

Actually, the 2001 DVD was not the whole show. Only The Young, Message Of Love, and a Live & Breathe intro to Wheel In The Sky were played, but didn't make the DVD. But that DVD is still longer than 60 minutes. My whole thing is I wish it was going to be longer than 60 minutes.

I have the first take of 'Faithfully' if you're interested. You can hear Arnel go for the wrong note in the end...

It may make financial sense for the band but it never makes (career) sense to SCREW your hardcore fans like that!

That better not be the case! I am probably buying it mainly for the dvd (concert dvd junkie ) and if After The Fall and/or Mother Father aren't on it......I'd have to think twice about it. :?

Yeah Deb that would suck for Deen's Mother, Father to not be on there :( . I still haven't recovered from hearing that live, lol.
