New Youtube Faithfully clip

Postby journey062393 » Fri Mar 14, 2008 8:13 am

Sorry for the delay but I finally posted my Vegas clip just now. As I stated before, I was threatened by the security guards in front and to the side of me that if I was caught taking pictures one more time, I'd be thrown out! Even though to my left were hundreds of people taking pictures. So I risked it and tried to be as discreet as possible, which is why its a little shaky at times. I was watching the security guys more than what I was taping. And I missed the very end of the song because he did catch me, but I think you've all seen and heard the end of Faithfully by now millions of times anyways.

That was a great clip, good job!!! I really think he does a kick-ass job on this one and Open Arms! I know a lot of people aren't onboard with the re-records, but I'll be listening to that thing like crazy! Just cool to hear it sung from a different singer/perspective. JMHO!

Yeah I know what you mean. If I dont like it then I'll probably never listen to it again, but I was always curious to hear what it would sound like. Ok, Perry was the best live singer I think I've ever heard, simply incredible. But most other singers find it hard to duplicate the actual studio recording of their albums, at least to some extent. I thought Augeri did a fine job live but always wondered just how good he would sound in the studio with the benefits of all the updated recording technology(although some would argue that we got to hear that on his last tour!) But at least now Arnel will get that chance. Its not like people are going to throw out their original GH cd's and start playing this new one but at least give it a chance.

That's it. Pineda pretty much owns this song now.

Better audio and some great photos from Vegas -

holy crap does he ever own it! arnel is awesome, I was real skeptic going in because I love JSS, but Arnel has that classic Journey sound. Yet, I think he sounds enough like himself and not a Perry clone which makes it good. Arnel is the 2nd best singer this band has ever had IMO. Bring on revelations!! I wish the hell I was in Vegas, seems like it was an amazing show.

Me too, wish I'd just gone.

Singing just Journey, he'll have the intonations down in a few months. A year from now, I predict there'll be no accentuations.

I compared some of his ZOO clips (DSB) with the Vegas DSB and it was already improved.
