I know some in the media and supporters of Obama have said that his association with his former minister don't mean anything. However, have you ever heard the things this guy has said? Talk about hateful, spiteful stuff. I can't believe anyone would have associated with this guy.

I don't particularly care anything about his name. I care what he believes and says.

Please, please, please let Obama win the nomination. There is a PLETHORA of stuff a certain party is waiting to unload on Obama. Let's see...a war hero with a great service record and a darn good political history versus a guy with no experience who aligns himself with the extremist pro-Muslim terrorist faction. That'll be a tough one!!! Obama's father was a "Wahabi" muslim...part of one of the most extreme factions and this nut is his pastor...and we're supposed to vote for him for president?!?! He represents "change" alright!!!

Yeah, right. It certainly looks like Obama has more than a 50/50 shot at being elected. That in itself is proof that the racism problem is at least far better than it has been in the recent past.

...and no black woman can ever be considered for anything outside what she can give with her body."

I'm not a big fan but...Condoleezza Rice anyone?

Sen. Barack Obama's pastor says blacks should not sing "God "Bless America" but "God damn America."

If that's true, it's reason enough to compare this guy with those nutjobs from the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, KS, the ones who protest soldiers funerals and carry signs saying "God Hates Fags". They are the ones who sing "God Hates America".

Let's just say that I'd feel the same way I do now, if McCain was a regular attendee and made donations to a white supremecists' church.

Sorry but no. Hillary cannot win the general, get used to saying President McCain and VP Romney.

The Hell she can't. You Pubs have never beaten the Clinton's.

Not that it means anything, but she beats McCain in every poll now, and you have got to be fucking yourself if you think Romney will ever see the ticket. McCain hates him.

I'd say yeah, I agree with that, but then thats taking too much of a chance that he might slip through and win. This guys a true believer and bad fuckin news

I say stop this guy NOW and these radical freaks now. Yes it MIGHT mean Clinton would get in, but at least she's not a member of the America hating Kool Aid Drinking Crew. I dont care how it gets done- Im sure Clinton's folks have been plotting how they'd steal the Dem nomination if they lost it. Shit, they might be up for the COngressional Medal of Honor if they put one of these plans in place right now.

No wonder Obama's wife hasnt ever been proud of the USA. Shes been listening to what shes been taught in church every week!

The only way Hillary can win at this point is if the super delegates screw the general public and vote for her instead of Obama.

Not that it means anything, but she beats McCain in every poll now...

From realclearpolitics.com as of yesterday...

General Election:
Gallup - Hillary +2% over McCain, Obama +2% over McCain
Rasmussen - McCain tied with both Obama & Clinton
NBC - Hillary +2% over McCain, Obama +3% over McCain
Newsweek - Hillary +2% over McCain, Obama +1% over McCain

These polls are all well within the margin of error, which means anything could happen.

Dave, I don't even look at those polls. It's all about electoral math, not popular vote math.

Also, whomever opened their fat hole by saying the Superdelegates would screw over the public is wrong.

Florida and Michigan will have to be seated. If you include Florida and Michigan, Hillary would be ahead in popular vote, and in the primaries, that does mean something. If they redo Florida, she will trounce him there, and Michigan would be key.

Most of the Democrat talking heads that I've seen have been saying that it is nearly impossible for Hillary to win even if Florida and Michigan have do-overs. That's not to mention that Hillary promised to abide by the DNC rules that there would be no compaigning in either state since they both violated party rules in moving their primaries up.

Shit like this is just straight-up racism. Now that all of this has been confirmed as truth I wish I punched Hillary's ticket last week, but hey, she still ravaged Ohio's vote, it's all good.

I agree. This is fair game. Obama has aligned himself with a radical nutbag, and his skank wife is only now proud of her country because her turban wearing pro-radical Muslim husband is ahead in the race. Fuck her, fuck him and fuck anyone dumb enough to vote for this scumbag. And Dean, you should be embarrassed as hell to have him on your myspace.

I think it's the other way around. I think the Supers who've pledged their votes to Hill are gonna change horses due to "popular opinion" and I think Obama is gonna wind up burying her at the convention.
I also agree with Dan, that the best thing for the Cons is for Obama to get the nomination. Note this Geraldine Ferraro mess lately. Someone as liberal and NON- racist as her is railing against how you can;t say anything against this man's campaign or you're accused of being a bigot. She is ABSOLUTELY right on this count, and I think it's gonna backfire against Obama big time before we get to November.

WHich means a McCain victory and 100 MORE YEARS OF THE WAR!!! Hot damn!!!!

Oh well. I guess I am double fucked. I voted for Barack Obama in the primary and if he wins the Democratic nomination, I will vote for him again. Make that triple fucked, I donated to his campaign too.

I heard what this pastor said and thought WTF?! But I also decided to give it some thought before I tripped off line about it. I am not at all surprised that some people are incapable of listening to what the man said and then place it any sort of perspective other than that of a knee jerk reaction.

First of all Trinity Church in Chicago says up front that they are “Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian.” So when the pastor says words to the effect of “God damn America,” instead of “God Bless America.” I think it is important NOT to look at it from the perspective of someone who believes that America is right about everything all the time. You know, the type of person whose idea of “patriotism” is a belief that their country is better than any other country, their country is always right (with the possible exception of when a liberal is president), and anyone who believes differently and raises objections to their country’s actions during war time is unpatriotic at best, or treasonous at worst.

I would not go so far as to say “God damn America.” But I can understand the sentiment behind it. There are more than enough examples throughout American history when we should have honestly asked, “God, forgive America.” Pastor Wright mentions the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. An event that is still fiercely debated. Personally, I agree with the decision. But I do not think that it serves as a shining example as our finest hour. If there is ever a day of reckoning for this country. I hope whoever takes the American History book up to Christ has a big bottle of white out for that chapter. I can see it now... "You did what!?!?!"
If you ever get the chance, take a look at the documentary that has been shown on HBO recently. It is called “White Light, Black Rain.” I challenge anyone to watch those survivors, and listen to their stories and come away singing “God Bless America,” Proud To Be An American” or that lame Toby Keith song. We did what we believed had to be done. But I do not believe that it is something that I want to walk up to Jesus Christ and brag about. I do not see any “Who Would Jesus Nuke” bumper stickers anywhere. As great as the United States is, there is still room for some contrition, a tad bit of humility as well as some improvement.

Then I tried to look at it from the perspective of a Black American or perhaps a Native American. I think everyone would agree that slavery is not going to be included on the U.S.A. highlight reel. And as far as the American Indian is concerned, the United States is guilty of the greatest home invasion on the planet. Again, “Who Would Jesus Enslave?” How can any country proclaim itself to be a Christian nation and then proceed to buy and sell one group of human beings as property and then almost exterminate another group?

If you can step away from the knee jerk reaction and take an unbiased, objective look at the situation and place yourself in the shoes of a black Christian, I believe that the good (albeit pissed off) reverend has a point. He is over the top in making it. But, I do not believe that we need to place him in an orange jumpsuit and sent him to Gitmo.

There is nothing wrong with believing that this is a great country. It is. But we are far from perfect and it is not an act of sedition or treason to point that out or to be outspoken when you do.

I don't think ANYONE believes that we are right ALL the time. However, that's totally different from what this guy said. And, yes, I do believe this is the greatest country on the earth and I hope that people who live in other countries think THEIR country is the greatest, not in a smug, stuck-up way, but in a proud, patriotic way.

Obama's name wasn't even on the ballot in Michigan. How can they just give those delegates to Clinton?
