I'd thank him!

An Australian woman has been sentenced to eight years in prison after admitting to killing her common law husband after he prevented her from listening to a Bruce Springsteen CD, according to news.com.au.

Karen Lee Cooper was originally charged with murder for the death of Kevin Lee Watson, but the court accepted a manslaughter plea on the basis that, she "had no intention to kill or cause grievous bodily harm."

Cooper had told police upon her arrest that she was fed up with Watson "telling her what to do" and explained that, "I couldn't even play Bruce Springsteen on my stereo -- can you believe that, can you believe that?... I mean who doesn't like Bruce Springsteen? I am 49 years old and I want to play my own music."

Cooper, who had a blood alcohol level of 0.19 percent at the time of the 2006 murder, last remembers Watson picking up the stereo before she plunged a kitchen knife through his chest, cutting through his aorta.

Totally misread what she said, but her jealousy of better performers then her favourite is easy to see.

I guess you just stand it when someone is better than your favourite (Favre, Bruce).

What a horrible thing to say.

You're joking, right?

I guess you haven't seen them live. Akay is famous for her hatred of Kansas. She won't even watch the Wizard of Oz.

Unfortunately I haven't seen Kansas live yet, but they're on my to-see list. I absolutely love most of their studio output though.

What's so wrong with them live? :?:

Kansas sucks. Looks like the cast of Deliverence getting together on a patch of grass alongside Highway 73 somewhere in butt fuck Kansas. These fucking long haired hippy dope smoking coke totin asswipes are boring as watching a fucking sermon.

The game to play at a Kansas concert is to see who can get more high and drunk til Dust in the Wind is played at the end. There sure as Hell ain't no women at a Kansas show.

Kansas is one of the few bands that sound much better in concert than any of their albums and that's because those guys are skilled musicians. As far as being ugly...yep. Even Steve Walsh said on the interviews on the "Device Voice Drum" album that they are not the prettiest looking band in the world but who cares?

Walsh did have a cocaine habit but has been clean for about 10 years now, if I remember correctly. Totally ruined his voice, though he actually sounds better now than he did back in the early to mid 90s.

Not that I really don't agree with him, but after his edited post above...THIS is hypocrisy at it's finest. Thanks, Deano!! *I* can't not like Bruce but he can hate Kansas...see how it is in his world?

I've been to gigs in Indiana. I'm from southern Ohio. That's local enough for me!

I showed this to my husband to remind him NEVER to touch my Journey music - his response?

"I'm not THAT stupid!"

Ah, and that's why we've been married so long! :D

Have you seen the "Device Voice Drum" DVD? I went to that show in Atlanta. That was a great time and you can even see me in the credits at the end of the show. Not very well, mind you, but I'm there. That's my claim to about 2 or three seconds of fame.

Angie, Bruce isn't boring. Bruce has upbeat tunes and sells out arenas everywhere he goes. Kansas plays the local KFC in Olathe, KS. BIG difference between the two.

If it's Kansas, I have absolutely no desire to watch it, but thanks anyway. I've suffered enough through five of their concets.

Dude, where in S.Ohio? Kansas is playing Miami Meadows Park in July as is Loverboy. That's right outside of Cincy in Clermont County. Here's a linky poo.... http://www.miamitwp.org/midsummer/index.htm Maybe I'll see you there.

I'm in Ross County.

I just might have to hit that up. My old man's a big Loverboy fan and I think he digs poppy Kansas as well. Maybe I can persuade him to take a short trip this summer and check these babies out...
