Sheryl Crow says she will soon be singing with Fleetwood Mac.
“I don’t want to make any official announcements, but I will say that we definitely have plans for collaborating in the future, and we’ll see what happens,” Crow told music website Spinner.com.
Crow did not give a date, but said it could happen next year and is already thinking about what she’d like to perform.
“I’d love to do 'The Chain', I’d love to do 'Second Hand News',” Crow said.
Crow said she looked forward to working with close friend Stevie Nicks.
“I think the person I learned the most hands-on from is Stevie Nicks because she allowed me not only to co-write with her but also to produce her, and she’s a true artist,” said Crow.
Fleetwood Mac last toured in 2004.

As in joining the group as a full member? Very interesting indeed. Guess they're looking for that missing element they lost when Christie McVie left the group. I think it's an intriguing concept. Would love to hear what they do on new music.

just can't see ms. crow being a front women of a band. they would be a great band to sing WITH, but no one can front them like the originals. she will be at MEMPHIS IN MAY, BEALE STREET MUSIC FESTIVAL. yeah!!!

Stevie is and always will be the "front-man" for the 'Mac.
I'd prefer to hear/see them w/ Sheryl Crow rather than reunite with Christine.
I'm there.

I doubt she'd be an "official member," just maybe help out on their next record and do some shows with them. I doubt she'd put her own career on hold for a couple of years to join a band who's probably got one album and tour left in them at best.
Wouldn't mind though, she did a good job with Stevie's last solo album...i just think it'd be weird for her songs to end up on a studio record since they'd just sound like Sheryl Crow tunes with Mick, John and Lindsey playing on them. When Billy Burnette and Rick Vito did songs for Behind The Mask, they were relatively unknown so it almost kinda worked (although their songs weren't that great, for the most part, even though Vito is a pretty good guitarist).
