If Andrew ever gets the chance to interview Steve A., here are some questions I'd like to answers too:

1) Whose idea was it to use tapes instead of live vocals?
2) How long did this charade last?
3) Did you feel pressured into this or were you on board with it from the beginning?
4) Did you ever ask the group to take some time off to recuperate? Their response?
5) When JSS took over, did you really feel it was an interim solution and that you would eventually be back once recovered?
6) Who in the band were you closest too and do you still have contact with anyone associated with the group?
7) When they unceremoniously dumped JSS, did you ever reach out to him?
8) Have you listened to any of the Arnel show tapes? Thoughts?
9) Will you sing Journey songs in the future as you tour?
10) How did your wife react to the fiasco?

Well I doubt most of those would ever get answered. But I must admit that #4 would interest me. However, I think we already know the answer because Steve did "announce" that the band was going to take time off and he was going to spend time with his son before he went off to college. I always considered that the way Steve was trying to push the issue that he needed rest.

I think #6 WAS Deen, although it seems like that might have dissolved since his ouster.

Yes...I told Neal and Company that I simply couldn't sing the catalog, and their response was something like "Thank god we have Jeff on speed dial"

Yes, we decided to start a support group and call it "Journey Departed". It's going really well, and we suspect that we'll have a new member by the end of 2008

Apparently he is, as posted on BT and on another Journey related site, he's on schedule to sing for a JTTC event in July in the Chicago area along with Kevin Chalfant & possibly some others.

Chief and Deano...don't get something started thank you. It has been peaceful around here...

I believe Deano has concluded that it was Management (Asoff's) idea to use lead vocal tapes.

It really pains me to say this, but I knew from the first notes out of the mouth of JSS that SA was not coming back. I turned to my friend (who was there for DL) and said that exact thing.

1) Steve Augeri was lipping.
2) Jeff Scott Soto would join Journey.
3) Jeremey Hunsicker was a member briefly (this was shared before Jeremey's blog was started)
4) Arnel Pineda would be hired.
5) Journey was to play a new song, Wildest Dreams, in Vegas. (This was shared at least a month or two ago)
6) The band was dead-set on re-recording classics for a long time.

I never saw any evidence of an email from Augeri, but Dean said he got one and I believe him. I do have evidence that he knows the guys in Journey and they're all on a first name basis. So that makes you a liar, and yes, a troll.
