I have a nose piercing and I would be pissed as hell if someone made me remove it, its a BITCH to get back in! I've flown several times since I've gotten it and have never had any problems.
A 37-year-old Texas woman is asking for an apology and calling for a civil rights investigation after she was forced to remove her nipple rings by airport security screeners last month. Mandi Hamlin said she was trying to board a flight from Lubbock to Dallas when a Transportation Security Agent scanned her after she went through the metal detector without a problem. The handheld scanner beeped when it passed Hamlin's chest and she told the female screener she had nipple piercings that she couldn't remove, but asked if she could show them in private to the woman. She was told they had to come out, and was taken behind a curtain, where she was able to take out one, but had to ask for a pliers to get out the other one. Hamlin said she could hear the male agents laughing. Her attorney, Gloria Allred, said in a letter to the TSA's Office of Civil Rights and Liberties that the conduct of the TSA was, quote, "cruel and unnecessary." She also said Hamlin had been publicly humiliated and had undergone a lot of pain to have the piercings put back in because of scar tissue.

Nice to see Gloia Alred fire herself out of a canon to take the case. She can fuck right off.
As for the woman, tough call. Angie, you were allowed through because your piercing was not concealed, and the fact you have ginormous milk bags too

.
She won't win this case. No way.

But she was willing to privately show them to a female security guard. Funny....not too long ago I got an email from my sister about this. She has had both of hers pierced for years!! Pierced them herself as a matter of fact.

Why do people think they have to mutilate themselves to be someone. It sounds like African and Indian rituals.

The lady should have planned ahead.
This lady is going through a metal detector. If you don't want to have problems, remove any metal items from your person. If you have metal items permanently attached that aren't medically necessary, don't go through a metal detector.
It reminds me of the case where a vegetarian sued McDonalds because they used beef flavoring in their french fries. Why didn't she sue the farmer that used cow shit to fertilize the ground that grew the potatoes?
When you deviate from a normal diet, especially due to health reasons or beliefs, it's your responsibility to do the research.

Ah, a voice of sanity.

But her dignity, self esteem, freedom of expression.. were all violated. The insult of embarrassment has scarred her for life. She was probably embarrassed having a total stranger perform the piercing while others in the room were having theirs done.. ha. If the baggage screener did peek under her garment, she would have sewed for that. A ludicrous claim of ‘unwelcomed ogling glances of personal intimate portions of my body'. Or, 'I was body strip-searched’. Go to the bathroom, remove it and fall in line again. She is not Evil Knievel.

This bitch should be thrown in jail for, a) being a dumb kunt and not following directions, and b) wasting the valuable time of airline safety screeners that are simply trying to do their jobs. The nipple ring should have been removed with vice grips and one swift tug.

All the viewpoints here make sense...but keep in mind, we're talking about the tsa...logic and the TSA simply do not collide in the same sentence very often.

I deal with the TSA on a daily basis, and you're right. I have to go through security and be checked by someone from another country. That just doesn't make sense to me.

If they knew what is going on and it includes breast and they are male...what the hell do YOU think they were laughing at?!
If she is an egotistical bitch, they are pigs, pure and simple.

I've never understood why people would pierce the two areas of the body with the most nerve endings and create all that scar tissue? Kind of a waste isn't it?!

(Saint John as a TSA agent) "Ma'am, we need to test that piece of metal and determine whether or not it is corrosive. Please insert your titty in my mouth so I can make a determination." This is assuming she is attractive, of course.
