These are the lyrics from the last song Freddie ever sang, "Mother Love"...Maybe not more than a few weeks before he passed away. Unfortunately, they probably reflect the way he felt when he passed, knowing that he was quoted to have said that he didn't feel like he had a real, true friend in the world.

As sad as this song is, it's still an inspiring one to me, knowing that I can have an impact on someone's life and not even realize it.

Sorry that I can't relate to this song. Not sure why, maybe because I hate my own mother to the core. Fucking bitch! And that's most likely why the only song I like with the word "mother" in the title is the one by Pink Floyd. Now that one I can completely relate to.

A very moving song - many of Queen's lyrics were profound....they ranged from silly (sometimes) to beautiful - and I didn't really "discover" them 'till over a year ago. Oh, I had a crush on Freddie Mercury (yes, I did), but never actually got into anything but the hits. Like all artists, the "real" music is in between those hits.

There were some songs Mercury did that I like, some I didn't. One of the last songs Mercury did that I really liked was "who wants to live forever." Not fully sure why I loved that song, perhaps it just struck me in the right way I guess.

And since we are discussing Queen/Mercury, Bohemien Rhapsody was one of my most favorites of all. To add to my fondness of this piece, I would find myself completely in awe when I was present when Arnel/AMO Band would perform that song live. I'm sure you've read where this song was one of the pinacle's of AMO band's history and success. And I can assure you that it was literally breathtaking to be next to them as they performed that song live. The power and the energy that Arnel and the entire band had when performing that song, it was all there in abundant quality and quantity. Not only did they do that song magnificently, but they also added their own touch by ending the song in a slightly longer original way that only they would do. Thank God I was blessed to be there, and for more reasons then only that one.
