Phew.
I dig JH's music, as he should be able to relay, but the double standard you Journey detesters exhibit in doing this and on THIS board which is taboo unless something's to be gained is a joke.

Do this for Journey and you're a koolaider.

So Frontiers now is replacing all but Jeremey and the bass player? New Guitarist, New Drummer, New Keyboard Player??

I guess that is music the way it was meant to be.

Actually I do plan to try and catch them at the HOB. Of course unless there is a Journey concert anywhere near.

JH deserves a much better band behind him. That's always been the lacking part of any Frontier's audio/vids I've seen. I'm glad he's finally moving forward with it.

I guess that is music the way it was meant to be. Journey replaces singers much quicker

Once again--pretty decent opinions here. Mine is that the current line up is really good and the clips seen do not give what these guys can do live, any justice. My understanding is that the guitar player, keyboard and drummer are not being replaced due to the inability to play music but more so the inability to dedicate themselves to a more fulltime lineup. Big difference.

But Tex- I respect your thoughts. oh and BTW---I'll be at the show Friday.

Hope lots of you here can make the show Friday. I always meet lurkers from MR who are too bashful to post (or too intimidated) at every show as well...As for people here who take issue with Journey, with the way previous singers were treated, or just don't think Arnel is right for the band versus going to a Frontiers show...Well, I don't really think that's a double standard...Everyone has a lot invested emotionally with Journey obviously, and people have their own issues with the band that they can take up the flag for here, or keep to themselves....We're just a tribute band though, so I don't think approval of Journey and condemnation of Frontiers - or vice versa - is a healthy view to keep...they are mutually exclusive issues, in my opinion.

As far as the lineup goes...Well, no one is getting fired or replaced....Initially as a group we decided to scale back performances this year to only a couple every month. With the interest in the band being extremely high right now due to my brief association with Journey and with the new song coming out on the record, it wouldn't make sense to pass on all of the opportunities that are coming our way. Unfortunately, the majority of the band has commitments in line with our original performance schedule (ie, a couple shows a month, tops). In order to make hay while the sun's shining, however, we're moving forward with basically what you would call an "A Team" and a "B Team." In other words, there's the "new" lineup which can make the commitment to travelling and performing for all of the shows we have lined up, and then there's the "B Team," the original Frontiers lineup, who will be a "backup" team if you will, due to their other commitments and priorities. The only real unfortunate change as a result of this strategy is that we're moving forward as a 5 piece; unfortunately Jim, our rhythm guitarist and Rolie vocalist, is a casualty of downsizing. He's been a huge asset to the group since it's inception, and the band and our fans are going to miss him. Unfortunately, to keep a consistent sound and lineup, we couldn't really shuffle a rhythm guitarist between the two lineups.

Thanks for the mention here, Dave....Hope lots of folks make it to the Rams Head Live on Friday regardless of their opinion of the current Journey lineup. You don't have to have a membership card either way to enjoy our show.
