What really happened to the site...

Postby G.I.Jim » Wed Apr 30, 2008 12:24 pm

I've figured it out! This site has all been a dream running through Andrew's head. They've just powered him down (which caused the site to lose info and slow to a crawl). Hopefully when they revive him, the site will go back to normal.

Just watch, and you'll understand! Andrew's "special".

No, Jim, you got it all wrong..... I know what happened to the site...

The first server developed a chronic virus infection, which caused file system damage...In a desperate attempt to prevent outages, Drew's co-lo people setup a RAID system to mirror the hard drives. This didn't work.

The forum was moved (overnight) to another server, but the server didn't support legacy php extensions.

After alot of bitching and complaining thrown in Andrew's direction, he finally said fuck it...and ordered a new server on ebay from a manufacturer he learned about on youtube.

New server installed, no more fuckups, no more virus infections...everything just works.

;)

Alright, I admit...that was gayer than a 3 dollar bill....
