I'm still trying to figure out how Ozzy Osbourne, Loverboy, and Aerosmith qualify as "hair bands" :shock:

I would have to question Kix being higher than 25, let alone even being on this list...

Well, most of them would qualify as "lack of hair" bands were it not for some superbly crafted hairpieces and Propecia.

Loverboy isn't metal and I don't remember any of them having much hair. :lol:

Besides, singer Mike Reno wore one heck of a headband and even had a miserable hit with "Almost Paradise," a song very well-liked by my cat, Tiger, the ultimate critic and, at 20, the boss of the house.

Just by his style of writing, it would be safe to assume that this blog (it is only a blog, of course :roll:

) was written more tongue-in-cheek and shouldn't really be taken as an official journalist's/critic's view... :wink:

That is if any of them have any credibility left themselves. :roll:

The list should be called 'The 25 Best Hair Bands'.

I've always understood the term 'Metal' was used to describe bands such as Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, etc.

My favorite of this list:

14) Kix: A great cereal and an underrated band. Kix never achieved the success of many of their fellow foot soldiers, but when Kix did have their brief moment of breakthrough it happened in classic hair-metal style. With a ballad. Like nearly every other band on this list, the band connected with the masses with a song--"Don't Close Your Eyes"--that doesn't best represent their sound. But the money was green and after years of mayonnaise sandwiches, I'm sure the band was only too happy to add some ham to the mix.

Kix used to be hometown heroes in Baltimore.
