Quoting the Cleveland Plain Dealer...
"A Sports Illustrated online poll conducted in March named Progressive Field [formerly Jacobs Field] the top ballpark in Major League Baseball.
Fans were asked to rank their hometown park in 10 categories (affordability, food, team quality, tradition, atmosphere, fan IQ, hospitality, promotions, traffic and neighborhood)."

Plus on a side note, Cleveland is always voted as having the best mustard in both Major League Baseball and the National Football League.

Petco Park is pretty cool. Right downtown San Diego with a lot of nightlife nearby.

I literally had more fun in Johnstown, PA, than I had in Cleveland, during an ill-fated road trip back in the late 80's.

Cleveland has lousy sports teams and lousy fans - remember the Indians used to draw about 650 fans a game before they moved. Real fans don't abandon their teams because they're not winning.

The Celtics were lousy for all but a few of the past 15 years, and they have been sold out since the late 60's.

I respect Cleveland as a football town, ONLY! They NEVER deserved to have the Browns be re-located to Baltimore, because the fans of Cleveland ALWAYS supported the Browns! That said, I couldn't agree with your assessment more when it comes to Cleveland as a sports city. It's a second class sports city, at best, and will NEVER compete with the real sports cities of America! Give it 5 minutes before Lake Erie Boy is in here babbling about minor league soccer championships from 10 years ago, and how "charitable" Cleveland is (even though Boston outranks them there, too)!

Wow, what an ignorant comment.

In 2007 Cleveland was the one and only city in America or Canada for that matter to have teams with a winning record in the MLB, NFL and NBA.

All 3 of Cleveland's major sports teams are serious championship contenders right now. Cleveland Browns fans are literally the best in all of the NFL, and that's not my opinion, it's FACT.

Indians fans are at least in the top 3 in MLB.

And Cavs fans are at least in the top 10 in the NBA.

The Indians were never drawing crowds in the hundreds, it was always in the thousands. Cleveland Municipal Stadium was very old and outdated in the 1980's when they were getting small crowds, and spring time in Cleveland can be very cold at times, and the Indians weren't very good in the 80's. Despite that, they would always get crowds of at least 6 to 7 thousand on a week night.

By the way, last October when the Indians and Red Sox were playing in the Playoffs, Boston news reporters were saying that Indians fans were supporting them better than Red Sox fans were in Boston. And it was easy to tell on TV that the crowds at Jacobs Field were much more supportive of the Indians than Boston was of the Red Sox.

Tough to argue that!

Dan Patrick had this conversation ths morning.

Oriole Park got high marks because of the setting and their knowledgeable fans.
Safeco in Seattle got best park by far
At +T in Frisco scored high

but the two parks you must see before you die are, you guessed it, Fenway and Yankee Stadium.

Tampa and Florida were the worst.

Dodger Stadium scored high and has never been renovated.

You know, you never quote me correctly. I'm not talking about you using the forums quoting, I'm talking about when you type in things that you are implying that I said.

I never said that Fenway Park sucks, I pointed out that on several websites I saw quotes from other people, some of which are from Boston, that said that Fenway reeks of piss. It's a historic stadium, Ill give you that.

By the way, Fenway seats what, about 33-thousand? Jacobs Field/Progressive Field seats more like 43-thousand. But it was Indians fans at Jacobs Field that set the all time sellout record in MLB history. Even though Boston should have any easier time selling-out a smaller stadium and with a larger population.

Sabathia has pitched like his Cy Young self his last two times out. Sabathia always has one bad stretch each season, and he got his over already. Carmona is still pitching great overall. Cliff Lee has been pitching like he's Sandy Koufax in his prime. Westbrook was pitching great before his injury, and he's only gonna miss a few weeks. Byrd has been great as of late. My only real concern is about Hafner. But for that matter todays Cleveland Plain Dealer mentions how Hafner and David Ortiz are lousing bat speed lately.

Cleveland has been voted the best sports city in America countless times by countless news papers, magazines and websites throughout America. You can deny it if you want, but yes, Boston reporters were commenting last October about how Indians fans were being more supportive of their team than Red Sox fans were of their's. They weren't saying that Red Sox fans weren't supportive of their team, just that Indians fans were even more supportive.

Several different years in recent years Cleveland Indians fans were voted as being the second best fans in America behind only Cardinals fans in St. Louis.

You call the Cavaliers the "cadavers," yet it's the Celtics that are having a hard enough time beating the number 8 seed Hawks. The Cavs always kick the Hawks ass's time in and time out.

Google the words "most charitable cities in America" and count how many of them name Cleveland as being #1, or at least top 5. Boston has a larger population. And my only real complaint about Cleveland is that the local economy sucks right now. Despite having a smaller population and in many cases less money to be able to spend, Cleveland is more charitable than Boston.

By the way, did I say anything at all about Boston in my first post of this thread? Um, no, I didn't. Yet, of course it was two obnoxious Bostonians who came into this thread spouting off all kinds of trash-talk.

You have started about a billion pointless threads on this site that have nothing to do with music. I wouldn't have even posted this thread on here except I knew that you and some other people start non-music-related-threads all the time, especially you.

And I have rarely ever gone on them to argue with you.

But like I said, you are always argumentative and insulting in almost every post you make.

By the way, you guys mistake drunken violent behavior as being passionate for the Red Sox.

Cleveland has forgiven Earnest Byner for the fumble that cost us a Super bowl appearance. But if I were Bill Buckner I'd stay the hell out of Boston, unless I had a death-wish.

Google the words "Cleveland Browns fans best in NFL" and read the very first listing you see at the top of the page.

It's an online article from 2006. When it refers to the browns "dismal play" it was said before the 2007 season when the Browns had a 10 and 6 record.

A brief quote...
"The study set out to find the NFL's best fans. Not the ones who turn out in strong numbers for a winning team, but the ones who stay loyal even if their team is losing, the weather is frightful or their local market is small. Cleveland fans earned first place by routinely packing their 73,000-seat stadium despite the dismal play of the Browns - who have won only 36 of 112 games since 1999 - and a climate that is among the coldest in the league."

Patriots fans ranked 15th on the list.

Back in the mid and late 80's Mike Ditka often said that Cleveland Browns fans are the best fans in the NFL.

When that bastard Art Model moved the Browns to Baltimore because he's a moron and literally was at the time the worst owner in the NFL, tens of thousands of Browns fans bombarded the NFL headquarters with demands that Cleveland be given an expansion team and be allowed to keep the name and team colors. At that same time in Houston they literally had a crowd of about 50 people who showed up to try to save their Oilers franchise.

And the "Browns Backers" organization is the largest fan club of any team in NFL history.

The only NFL team who's fans are almost as loyal as Browns fans is the Green Bay Packers, but their still second behind Browns fans.

I'll give you a week to find it and post it here! I guarantee you that unless you're writing the article, Cleveland will NEVER, EVER, EVER be ranked as the number one sports city in America. Last time I checked, the Celtics had 16 NBA Championships and the Cadavers had 0.

World Series titles? 6 for the Sox, 1 for the Indians.

Super Bowls? Patriots 3, Browns 0.

The Bruins haven't won a Stanley Cup since I wore diapers, but last time I checked, 5 was still five more than 0. And don't count Cleveland's 1 AHL championship. That's a MINOR league team.

How many people sign waiting lists 10 years in advance for the Cleveland Marathon?

Your lame-assed Indians fans could barely crack a thousand per night back in the Brook Jacoby days.

Best non-major league professional setting is The Sandcastle on the bay in West Atlantic City, NJ.

The new Busch Stadium is a really nice park and has an awesome display of the Cardinals' 10 world championship banners. :D

Coors Field in Denver is beautiful.

Fenway Park has the atmosphere.

Wrigley is definitely a cool place to see a game, what with the history and all, but it's kind of a dump.

I see you are adapting appropriately.

Don't let anyone talk you into going to US Cellular Field (if it still called that... ) unless the tix are free.
I hate Sox games. That place is a shithole. If you sit high enough up, you just might get a seat with a bullet hole in it.
