"No president has ever had a higher disapproval rating in any CNN or Gallup Poll; in fact, this is the first time that any president's disapproval rating has cracked the 70 percent mark," said Keating Holland, CNN's polling director.

Saw that ^ coming in 2001.

The dude sucks as President, but with all due, everyone in this country blames the guy for everything including a cloudy day. It's become the "IN" thing to blame him for everything, even the things he has no control over. It's the culture of our country these days.

Everybody needs to read this excerpt from Lee Iacocca's book. Let's hope our next President is a true leader.

I agree with some of what he has to say but then he makes an asshole statement like this...

I'll go a step further. You can't call yourself a patriot if you're not outraged.

He also makes it sound like Bush just willy-nilly wants to tap everyone's phone conversations. Not true.

Well, given the 3 candidates running, I'm afraid that's not going to happen.

Saddest thing is, everything that came to fruition in the second Bush term was apparent already by the first.
Considering everyone on this forum was falling over themselves to defend Walmart in a recent thread, I have little doubt the same people will be easily fooled again come November.

I would vote for Rev. Wright before Hillary or McCain.

I don't get what your "quotations" are supposed to imply...the guy's got his ministry degree, among others.

Maybe he has "doubts" that he's a "true" minister.

By who's definition?
If the dude earned a doctor of ministry degree (among others) and built up a 6000+ member megachurch, who are we to call his theological credentials into doubt?

I love how the Repubs were shitting in their silk stockings over Romney's faith being questioned (now there's a racist faith. Say, do Mormons still believe blacks are inferior because God turned them away? And how come Romney wasn't forced to disavow this?), but when it comes to Barack Obama and the United Church of Christ, the hammer is cocked, the safety lock is off and it's open season.

Err...no.
If that's the case, then why is McCain on the hustings right this very second distancing himself away from Bush?
Didn't you hear him railing against the administrations' bungling of Katrina just this week?

Maybe because the foundation of this man's theology is hate and bigotry. I listened to his full sermon given on a Palm Sunday. I've never heard such seething hatred coming from a man of God or so many ignorant fools cheering him on. He is a despicable human being. He tells his congregation they are oppressed and it's all the fault of the rich white man. Meanwhile, he's having his $1.5M 10,000 sq. foot mansion built in a rich white neighborhood and owns 2 Mercedes valued at $140K. Hypocrite much? He's a hate peddler, making a fortune from his foolish congreation. He is not a man of God.

More regurgitated talking points cribbed from staticy AM hate radio.

You didn't listen to any full sermon, cut the shit. I heard Beck and Savage for the past weeks trying to depict "black liberation theology" as something radical and dangerous to be feared...as if the church has nothing but Willie Hortons lining every pew.

You are an empty-minded receptacle of shit.

actually asshole I did listen to the full sermon and it made me physically ill. I love how when you are wrong, your ONLY resort is to throw someone into the AM radio brain dead category. AS IF you are so far superior and more enlightened. AS IF.

Maybe YOU should listen to Wright's full sermons and come back here and we can have an informed discussion. As of right now, only one of us has done so.

You're an asshole for attacking Barb like this. I listened to the same broadcast she did on Beck's show this morning. They played the sermon in its entirety. It was nauseating. Apologies are in order to Barb.

...and, yes, Black Liberation Theology is, at its core, racist theology.

Only if you buy into Barb's crude oversimplification of the Reverend's gospel and suffer from a severe case of self-victimization.
Some of us don't happen to think there's a black, a gook, a queer, or a spic lurking behind every corner.

Ever find it curious that throughout all the hand-wringing over so-called "learjet liberals" Repub swine like u never once put forward any ideas to actually help the planet? Even McCain rejects this "burn baby burn" attitude towards the environent. Hopefully, he will follow in the tradition of Nixon, who created the EPA, or Republican Teddy Roosevelt, who was a stalwart environmentalist. I bet you guys would've slandered those pinko latte drinkers too, right?

Obama figured out Wright's angle, but it's probably too late. You see, Wright does not want Obama to win. That is as plain as day. Wright recognized that Obama had a chance to win and started the derailment process immediately. Obama winning would have proven everything that Wright preaches wrong and he simply couldn't have that. Wright is exponentially better off if he can continue his divisive, "all whites, the government, and the police hate blacks" message.

I'm going to pile on as well...who the hell are you to call someone names? Typical - instead of discussing the topic at hand, resort to name calling.

For someone who is proud of using "big words", you resorted to gutter talk quite rapidly...

Grow up...

Yet another of the liberal pillars...When all other arguments fail, lay down the race card.
