Andrew, I may be mistaken but I don't believe you've mentioned Airbourne on the front page or reviewed their album at all?

Surprising, considering they're carrying the torch for Aussie hard rock and are kicking ten kinds of ass!!

I saw these guys last night at Bogart's in Cincinnati... WHAT A SHOW. These guys (all my age, early twenties) brought it hard. A lethal combination of greasy riffs, electricifying solos, pounding rhythms, and deadly vocals assaulted my eardrums for a good hour. Very entertaining show... Airbourne definitely has a passion for classic rock and I expect HUGE things from these fellas in the future.

Their CD (the only one they have out, they're newer) is pretty solid. Yeah, yeah, I know, they sound like AC/DC having sex with Aerosmith while GNR videotapes it for Jackyl's pleasure... but they're a breath of fresh air in the modern rock scene. Completely blew the headliner, Theory of a Deadman, out of the water!

I've heard these shit for brains, Clear Channel DJ's talking ad nausem about the "New DeF Leppard" or the "New Journey" album...only to follow up with "...so here's one from 1981!" It really chaps my ass. I think if rock radio got behind these guys, they might actually sell some units. Here's what the Nuge had to say in a recent interview on a related topic:

"It used to be the people in the music stores loved the music. The people who promoted the concerts loved the music and the disc jockeys loved the music. The bands loved the music and the people loved the music. People celebrated the music like "Walk This Way" and "Cat Scratch Fever" and "You’ve Got Another Thing Coming" – they liked that spirit. You can’t find a disc jockey, a promoter and a record store in a town that have any idea what the other guy is thinking. Music doesn’t bond like it did then. I think guys who made music in the 70's and 80's spoiled people because the music was so good. I think we burned everybody out. I don’t know what the fuck to think anymore. "

BTW- LOVE me some KROKUS. They were 3rd rate ACDC but they had a couple of killer tunes, such as....

I think this is an excellent band, did you see them with Endeverafter as well?

I didn't get to see them yet but they have a bunch of new tour dates up for the summer.
